Sayonara, L'Arc~en~Ciel....
It's less than a week until L'Arc~en~Ciel's 25th L'Anniversary. At first it was kinda hard for me to accept the fact that I can't go to the live. April 7 is my mom's birthday. Work is escalating lately so there's no way I can leave the team alone. So I have to let go of the chance to go to 25th L'Anniversary.
I was planning to go as my final farewell to the band. I feel that it's the right to time to say goodbye to the band that's been the major part of my life for nearly 20 years. Whenever there's a beginning, there should be an end.
I've been to their lives. I met them in person. The most amazing part (I still can't believe that it's real) is I got the chance to meet Hyde, got introduced to him, and actually talked to him. I'll cherish the memory for the rest of my life.
I feel fulfilled.
So it's best to let them go. Let Hyde go.
Yes, my heart has shifted. No, not to OLDCODEX or Miyano Mamoru whose lives I attended last year. Not even to T.M. Revolution who's always kind enough to listen to my selfish requests and remembers me everytime we meet.
From now on I'll dedicate myself to make this world a better place and focus more on my family. I'll still be in the fandom, but not on the hardcore side anymore. Because I know someday L'Arc~en~Ciel will disband and I feel that the time is drawing near.
The guys are getting older and older. They're not immortal. And when one of them dies, they're not L'Arc~en~Ciel anymore. L'Arc~en~Ciel that I love is the four of them: Hyde, Ken, Tetsuya, and Yukihiro. They won't be L'Arc~en~Ciel unless all of them are together.
Long story short, thank you for the amazing 26 years guys. I'm "graduating" soon, but I'll never forget about the four of you. Thank you for your wonderful music that has colored my youth. I lived a joyful 20s life because of you.
