(no subject)
We got back from Laughlin around 8PM last night. We had a lot of fun on the trip, but I feel bad about some of the things that happened. Everything seemed to annoy me, and I wasn't so great of a person to be around ;( It was just one of those days.. erm, weekends, heh. I'm sure the fact that I was in a car with my mother (whom I normally get along with fine, for the most part) for 8 hours for 2 of the last 3 days contributed to my mood.
We didn't do much on the day that we got there. It was already dark out (my mom drives so slow!!!), so I just went to bed relatively early. My mom called around 7AM the next morning to tell me that we'd be visiting my cousins around 11AM. I set my alarm for 10AM and went back to bed. It was around 9:30AM when my mom called a second time. She started yelling at me about how I was ruining everyone's day by sleeping in, etc. Turns out that Arizona time is an hour ahead of California time - that was news to me. I guess that's when I started to get an attitude about the whole trip. It really made me mad that she'd yell at me over a mistake. Blah.
We got to my cousins' house eventually, and it was pretty cool. I really liked it, actually. The location of their place reminded me of how things are in Phelan/Victorville, which I love. I've always wanted a house in an area like that, with neighbors far and few. It was neat. It was also neat seeing my cousins, because I haven't seen one of them in 15 years! Ha. The last time I saw him was when I was the flower girl in his wedding. We took a lot of pictures while we were there, and I'll post them soon. Later that night Charles and I went back to Laughlin and saw the Marvelettes in concert. I liked that a lot.
And so yesterday was our last day there. We didn't do much besides bicker :X We ate a huge breakfast (I did anyway) at a yummy buffet in the casino, took pictures of the river, and then we were on our way.
Now I'm starting to feel sick, and that's not good, because I want to have FUN on New Year's! Grr.
