I finished the final chapter of my shortish story, 'The Maia and Aulendili.' I'm rather pleased with the story overall.

Summary of last chapter: Saruman sees Celebrimbor, and possibly wishes he hadn't.

Curumo: Can you not.
Huin: Sry.
Curumo: I doubt it.
Huin: I drew you?
Curumo: That does not begin to make up for any of this.

Good lord, this seemed to take me forever, but I finally managed to draw Mairon (pre-LoTR Sauron for those who don't share my particular character fixations) and have it turn out somewhat like I picture him.

(  The smirk. I am so happy I got the smirk out of my head and onto paper. )

So apparently all that reading and writing I was eagerly looking forward to after finals has yet to happen.  Instead I've been sleeping a lot, watching the first season of Dr. Who (Christopher Eccleston is unbearably cute, I can't say I think the same of the dude everyone likes that came after him), and drawing wizards.

Not the sharpest quality, as I took photos of the sketches with my mobile's camera, but I was really pleased with all three of these; not because they're technically the greatest, but because they captured very well the characters themselves.  I find it very hard to evoke characters as I see them in my head, so this recent evening of drawing is one ( Read more... )

Guys, I never got aboard the DA ship all those year ago when I first became aware of it.  I finally made an account last year but have hardly used it.  IT'S TIME TO REMEDY THIS! especially since I had to go and claim the Draw a Character card for B2ME.
