Not the sharpest quality, as I took photos of the sketches with my mobile's camera, but I was really pleased with all three of these; not because they're technically the greatest, but because they captured very well the characters themselves. I find it very hard to evoke characters as I see them in my head, so this recent evening of drawing is one I count as successful.
Thuringwethil has given me a lot of trouble. I was happy when a decent characterization emerged in my mind in March, and that I was even able to draw it.
Draugluin, pretty much exactly how I envision in him in that thing I need to finish writing (except he seems to have gone a bit heavy on the eyeshadow here).
This makes me nostalgic for the era when I was writing about Valinor, and Everyone In Valinor Was Drunk with surprising frequency. The scene below never actually occurred, though Olórin did like encouraging Curumo to drink more.
