I've been reading a ton lately, and I am really loving April 1865 . The book flows very well, and is almost lyrical in its dissection of what was probably one of the most tumultuous months in U.S. history. This week was pretty much the week from hell. Thursday in particular. Everything went wrong on Thursday. Liz was out sick. There was a huge fight. Had to call child and family services. Kids were off-the-wall-awful. Played phone tag with Rob. Had to scrape ice off my car in the morning. Got cut off on I-675. Pretty much a shit-storm of awfulness. ( Read more... )
