There was a radio club meeting on Tuesday evening; a practical fix-it one, so I left my mother to get an early night and headed out at about 7pm. The meeting went well, though we did need to clear a space before we could get things set up. The play group that uses the hall during the day is supposed to leave the hall clear enough for evening hirers, but I think this is the third time this year we've had to clear it ourselves.
I had planned to spend Wednesday doing more re-construction in the workshop, but my mother had just enough plans that I didn't get much done, though I did get a fair bit of planning clearer in my mind...
There was no Morse practice this morning. Today we had an errand to run that involved going to Bexhill and back. We set off at about 10:30. It was, I guess, a bit over an hour and a half each way, and the extensive roadworks at Pembury are quite hard to avoid, but weren't, thankfully, anything like as bad as they were back at the end of last summer (when we got stuck in them well enough that we took the first opportunity to escape despite it adding many miles to the journey). It has been a long day...
