Today was very different that what was orginally planned.
It started off as planned. I went to the spa to have my massage, pedicure and manicure with the gift car Rich bought me for our Anniversary. It was a wonderful couple ofhours.
The orginal plan for this afternoon was Dave was coming to visit Rich and they were going to Erik's for the Geek Squad gathering for the afternoon/evening and night. I was going to be home with the kids (hence my mini retreat this am). I had promised Garrett pizza and movies.
So, on my way home I called to tell them I was on my way. Well, Dave had called and cancelled. He has the flu. So the geek squad gathering was postponed till next Saturday.
We decided to head to Grandville for lunch, and then to swing into the Chrysler dealership to check out the 2007 Town and Country mini van. We were there much longer then planned, luckily both kids were very well behaved. Overall, I really liked the mini van. They have a couple in stock that meet our needs. We didn't test drive one today. It is just to hard with both kids. We have plans to go back Monday for the test drive. The dealer ran some numbers sowe are suppose to talk about them this weekend. The GM came over before we left and said that if we bought the van on Monday he would give us 2 years of oil changes free. They are trying to meet a deadline by the end of the month. I do need to email my dad in Thailand and see about getting his Chrysler discount from the UAW.
Here is the thing though.... Chrysler has a history of mechanical issues. That is the only thing holding me back. The only other mini van I am interested in is the Honda Odyssey. The problem is, it is more expensive and it will also alienate my father from us. I have been trying to read on line and it just confusses me more. There are pros and cons with each model. ahhhhhhhhhh
This whole car thing stresses me out. I really want a nice realiable car that I can drive for 8 - 10 years.
Thank you all for your previous feedback. I am tired and should go to bed soon.
