OK, This is just my opinion, and I have been known to put my foot in my mouth on numerous occasions. That being said, here goes...If you guys like the Honda mini-van, and getting it would alienate your father sounds pretty petty to me. My husband, his dad, my father all work for the auto industry, and are members of the UAW. We all have our preferences when it comes to vehicles, but especially with Rob and I and our tight budget, if we get a better deal with a foreign, our family would understand that. I would say get what you guys think is best for your family and screw what everyone else thinks. It's for your family, not his. Either way...Good Luck.

Why can't we just Teleport? :) michigan_loverz February 19 2007, 19:29:47 UTC
Pick what is better and more economical to your family as opposed to the feelings of others.

You want something safe, reliable and good for a mom-on-the-go. You need plenty of room for the carseat and a seat for Garrett until he gets older.

The leasing part is always something we try to avoid. I can't imagine keeping a promise like that, that you won't drive so many miles, and if you go over the lease agreement it's just bad.

Brian and I learned a lesson in regards to Fords... we just don't personally like them. Our Olds has been a blessing because we have driven the snot out of that thing, and at 178,00 miles it still purrs like a kitten. My parents have never owned nothing but a Buick; an car that my grandparents always got.

With Chrysler's recent financial problems, you may get a sweet frickin deal on cars/minivans right now!
