My weekend was interesting... nothing was calm. Nothing is ever calm! Ha!
I began on Saturday morning to go to the bank to make a deposit and to retrieve my ATM card that the machine had kindly eaten the night before. I called Bank of America that night to request a temporary hold on the accounts in the event my card was released from the machine and some random person was driving around spending my money...or whatever. Because I had also requested a new card (my magnetic strip was toast), that caused a bit of a hassle at the bank. My accounts are "frozen" because the card was declared "lost" from the idiot service rep I was talking to over the phone initially. Plus, my new card will not be made available until Wednesday or Friday.. and my accounts will be "unfrozen" at the same time.
I was only able to withdraw $100 from the checks I deposited Saturday morning out of convenience. Needless to say, Bank of America has made another appearance on my prestigious Shit List. Bah!
I left for Connecticut after work. I was able to leave early, thanks to the manager. I left and got gas, then headed to Connecticut. I had no traffic until I was on Route 72 where it merges with I-84 West in Southington. I remember seeing a flashing sign "I-84 Southington Westbound Closed" and never thought anything of it. I had one hell of a time getting off the highway... imagine.. 5 lanes merging into 1. Oh my. I took the mountain road off the highway back into town, which meant I had to drive through the apple orchards in the northwest section of town.. those roads are unsafe at night, but it meant I did not have to deal with traffic.
This morning, I woke to find my nephew on the living room floor watching his cartoons.... what a cutie! The festival parade was canceled in town due to the rain, but was rescheduled for next weekend, which I will not be able to attend. At the same time the parade was scheduled, the sun managed to come out for a couple of hours (go figure). My brother, sister-in-law, nephew, my sister and her fiance and their son (my other nephew) and myself went down the street from my parent's house into town for the festival and to get my apple fritters.
We bumped into my cousin, who is also my Godmother. She was there with another woman... so we all came to the conclusion that the family rumors are true and my cousin/godmother is a lesbian. More power to her!
I also heard rumor from my sister, that my oldest brother Gary may be having a fling with another man.
What the hell is going on?!?!?!?!
First my godmother/cousin, whom I love dearly, is now a confirmed lesbian.. and my brother may be Bi?!?!?!
Jesus!
Well, it runs in the family (((puts head down and runs)))
