In the midst of the battle, the green light enveloped Remus Lupin’s body.
He knew what it meant and he was ready for it.
He expected to feel relief. After all, he was Thirty-Seven already an old man, worn thin by transformations, stress, ostracism, the pain of loss and the expectations of others. It was easier to die then to live on, be a husband and father, rebuild or fight on depending on the outcome of the battle.
He expected relief. Instead he felt disappointment.
He had finally been ready to take responsibility, to live, however difficult it might be.
