Severus came to, looking around for any sign of the Shrieking Shack, and instead found puffy cloud and a solid, concrete floor beneath him. This was it. Dead and gone at last. Snape had never truly feared death, though he had tried to prolong as anyone would, but now he saw it as an opportunity - a chance to finally give up the battle of his heart. He was gone; there was no need to suffer on in love, nothing to worry about now.
“Severus!”
Lily ran to his side, concerned, Potter behind her.
Apparently, the battle wasn’t over quite yet.

Teddy looked up at the ‘grandma’ lady. She had a funny face, all red lips and big black eyes. He scrunched his own little face, tiny tufts of hair turning orange and green, and sucked on his thumb, rolling over. He popped and gurgled and stared around some more. Why was the ‘grandma’ lady crying, looking at him like that?
“Oh Teddy they’re gone! Lost to the battle at Hogwarts! All gone…”
Teddy didn’t cry along as she sobbed, merely lay there and made his hair long enough to cuddle, let loose a quiet growl, and settled down to sleep.
