Consolation

I arrived at work this morning to discover a large Amazon box on my desk. One down. An hour or so later, I'm handed a smaller Amazon package. Two down. My Xbox 360 and copy of GTA4 were sent separately, but arrived on the same day.

Work was boring. At lunch time, my friend and I grabbed something from the coffee shop and went to sit in a park. In the evening I had to walk home carrying an Xbox 360. That's a 45 minute walk. Exhausted and arm-sore, I freshened up a little and made some food. Some time after that, I finally got to set up the 360 and play GTA4. This is where I hit a snag, however.

I wasn't aware the 360 doesn't have a built-in Wi-Fi adapter. Was it unreasonable of me to assume that it would? Every other piece of vaguely computer-related hardware released in the last two years does, seemingly. So, I figured I was looking at about £15-20 for a Wi-Fi adapter, right? No. £60, apparently. I fucking hate proprietary hardware. I've been through this before when I found out phone manufacturers were charging £30 for USB cables. So, essentially, I can't get the 360 online without spending another £60 (And £40 for a Live subscription. That's £100, maths fans). What a balls.

Aside from that, I played GTA4 for a while. It's good.

I'm going to bed.

fucking microsoft, gtaiv, xbox 360
