Had a wonderful time. Got to listen to Terry Brooks on two panels. The one where he and Ben Bova just talked about whatever was fantastic, as was Kelly Lockhart's interview with Terry Brooks. Ben Bova was in the audience for that panel. What a con!

Barflies had a great time, with a cheesecake tasting on Saturday night. Kelly brought an amaretto cheesecake, and one topped with blackberry compote. The Michigan Queen of Cheesecake (please forgive me for missing the name and I'd be grateful if someone would supply it) provided a chocolate and peanut-butter cheesecake. All were delicious. Thanks to Leon and Katie for once again providing their always-excellent hospitality suite, and to everyone who provided stuff or otherwise contributed support.

Toni graciously provided a Saturday night dinner out for the Baen authors and other notable and fun folks like Kelly and Star, Pat, Les, Sarah Hoyt's two boys, and a number of others I didn't get to talk to this time. I rode with Pat and Sarah's boys, all were fun. Her youngest (15 and looks 20) was my dinner conversational companion and we had a good time. Again, please forgive my lousy memory for names and if someone in the know will supply it, I'll have another chance to hammer it into my brain.

Got to see John and Miriam and congratulate them on their forthcoming nuptials. Miriam showed her dress to the gals and it is truly gorgeous. Best man Patrick Vanner and Heather (gah. last name?) announced their engagement--no surprise there. :-)

Sat in on a couple of panels, and now that Uncle Timmy has officially announced it at the end-of-con dead dog panel, I can tell people that I'm going back as special guest next year. Thank you Liberty!

Stephanie (lname?) from Huntsville--author and 20 years at NASA--will be the science guest of honor. Go Stephanie!

More cool stuff, but those are the highlights that spring to mind off the top.

Awesome con. :-) As always.
