According to online rumours, apparently we will be seeing Sherlock's father in series 3.

It is actually stupid how excited this makes me.

Holy crap, it looks like I've missed a lot of Sherlock spoilers since I've been on my four-day internet break. I hope to catch up as soon as possible.

But for now, I need to sleep. I'll have to deal with my desperate curiosity until after work tomorrow T^T.

I think I know who this character is based on, and if so, the story this episode/ongoing plot-line will presumably relate to. If I am right, then I am very excited. This is one of my favorite stories, and I would love to see how it would be adapted for this series.
