Kick Me
Aunt Monica is on her way to Michigan from Arizona as we speak… She should be making it to the house of her mother, my grandmother, sometime today and spending the next couple of days with her prior to making her way through the United States. As for me, I’m very excited… It’s been since the fifth grade that I’ve seen her and I missed my chance when I lived in Arizona during the Summer of 2009, so this is going to be a fantastic experience… I’m worried she’s not going to like me, though!
Other than my Granny Jo, Aunt Monica is, perhaps, my greatest motivation in my life right now in that she doesn’t allow me to bullshit with her… If I say something obnoxious, she immediately calls me out on it. At the age of thirty, this woman decided it was time to stop feeding from the gutter and to make a life for her, setting out to become a doctor! I, personally, find this amazing… A Horstmann became a doctor. Now THAT’S inspiration!
What’s the point? The point is I need a swift kick in the ass to go back to school full time so that I, too, can be as awesome as Aunt Monica!
