Okay, so I will have been in DC for two full weeks at around 5:00 this afternoon!

Well, tonight was a very fun, busy, different, but lots of fun. It started with a rather productive day at work, both for the stuff I'm working on for them but also for my seminar paper. Then I went with my seminar TA to Georgetown to see their library. They have a gorgeous campus, their main building looks more like a cathedral than a school. ( Read more... )

I got to see my mom last night. She is in town for her quarterly meeting with her counterparts in the Army, Air Force, and Coast Guard and took the earlier flight so that we could spend the evening together. I had a busy weekend. It was a bit of a fault start on Saturday, no one wanted to let me into the federal buildings with my pocket knife. So I went to see the United States Navy Memorial and the National Geographic Society instead. They have a nice little exhibit hall and a Japanese Garden.
