Saw The Cure last night in tampa with brett. Despite what shawn says, they put on a fucking killer show. i had won the tickets on O-rock (r.i.p) and it turns out they were on the 2nd level or "club level". the seats were WAAAAY nicer, the view was fantastic, and the sound was amazing! the only notable exception was a couple times of Robert Smith's high end being a bit shrill. while i had fun, i find myself feeling a bit guilty. i didn't reconise a tenth of the songs they played. and they played for 3 HOURS! so in the end, i found my self a bit left out. Like i would have placed the concert on nearly the same level as metallica '97 or NIN '00 had i been a true cure fan. that being said, i think its time to fire up iTunes.

they kept things nice and dark. you'll notice that there is no mention of "friday, i'm in love". finally, i'm really glad i got to go with brett, as he made the trip down there and back most enjoyable. talks of roleplaying, friends and other non-sequitor things abound!
