Stressful birthday

What a long day I had today.

Woke up at an unearthly hour of 6.30am today because I had to reach school by 7 to meet some friends which will be writing their messages on a scrapbook - Li Ting's birthday gift. The plan I hatched failed terribly because more than half of those who told me that they will meet up earlier woke up late.

During recess, I stayed in class with a few others to continue designing the scrapbook. I sent Rashid a message telling him to hold Li Ting back in the canteen until 11.30am sharp, but he didn't check his phone and she ended up entering the class earlier. Gracie & Atika were there when she went up, and they were busy writing their messages. When we saw her, they were instantly thrown into disarray. And what they did was hilarious. I managed to account for all the confusion, though. I think.

After school, Li Ting got everyone to gather and have lunch together before leaving for KBox at 2pm. But I couldn't because I had to develop the photos Rashid provided me with which will be used in the scrapbook. And there's also a few who haven't finished writing their messages. Made the rest leave with Li Ting first while I went to Blk 201 to develop the photos. Initially, I was at a loss because I was alone and I didn't quite know what to do when the shopkeeper told me to "collect the photos tomorrow". And it was around half an hour to 2pm then. I was desperately trying to think of a Plan B, and I kinda lost my temper in the process. And I vented it on someone.

Met Yi Ren at Blk 201 because he stayed in class to write his message. Told him I couldn't get the pictures developed in time, but when we walked back to the shop with plans to revoke the order, the shopkeeper gave us the printed, developed photos. It was a miracle.

Had my lunch, then waited outside KBox where I met Hui Jie. We "assembled" the scrapbook hastily and she went back in the karaoke room after that. Waited outside for Rashid and then we seemingly came in together.

On to the KBox experience. Overall, it was good, but not amazing. Because my voice really sucks in karaoke, and I have no idea why. But I had a ton of fun anyway. Held a mini birthday celebration for Li Ting, and sung a lot of songs (danced to some, too). ;)

Left KBox at 6pm with Hui Jie, and then we rushed down to Stadium station. Reached there at 7pm and met Serene, Tay Xi & Shanggei. Entered the Singapore Indoor Stadium in time for the FOP 2010 which was quite an amazing feat considering the number of attendees. :)

Anyway, I reached home at 11.30pm. Whoa.

p.s. I'm not going to plan birthdays again anytime soon.
