CNN, in wont of anything actually happening in the world (um, wait...oh, never mind...) put together
this weighty piece on the new malady dismantling Western society.
Me, I don't get it. Sure, I have episodes build up on my TiVo that I put off watching until... well, forever. But when the hard drive starts to get full, I just do what I do with my refrigerator, and start pitching things like that hunk of green cheese that I don't recall buying in the first place. It's a minor chore, and certainly not life-shattering. And if I can toss that tupperware bowl of left over beef stew that I never got around to eating without feeling pressed to down the whole rancid thing through some misguided guilt (and let's face it, we should feel more guilt about throwing away food than we do about deleting a television program), then I don't see why I should have second thoughts about zapping that whole season of Eureka that I never felt the inspiration to watch.
Help me out here, folks. Am I just odd, or is this a neurotic behavior on the part of a few eccentrics that CNN is trying to actualize?
