While it definitely isn't news, I can see some validity in it. I very often flip through my recorded stuff, saying "Y'know, I really ought to watch that one of these days . . . " I do the same thing with Netflix movies; in fact, I've had the same @#$% Bit of Fry And Laurie disc since June. (Not getting my money's worth, there.) And I just deleted the entire season's Desperate Housewives without watching, but not without some serious contemplation.

I actually find the "Tivo guilt" thing comes more from specials I've recorded than from series. I have a few documentaries (about Vietnam, hillbillies, and the electric chair) that I really ought to watch but just never seem to be in the mood for.

OTOH, I feel pretty guilty about having to throw away leftovers, too. :)
