After four days of inservices and one day with Actual Live Students, I'm about ready to drop. Good news: the students seem like they might actually be human (amazing considering they're 7th, 8th, and 9th graders), and I like my colleagues. Bad news: I believe this job will eat my brain, leaving nothing to spare for fanfic. Just be warned.
To reward myself, I just spent a delightful evening watching "The Two Towers" on DVD (and eating chocolate-covered raisins). I unapologetically love these movies. I can't imagine better adaptations that what we've been given. The amazingly detailed sets, the writing, the direction, the ACTORS, the completely unobtrusive FX, the MUSIC--I'm totally in love. And not just with Sean Astin (lucky Mrs. Astin). I'm looking forward to RotK so much it hurts.
Will rave more later. For now, I need my bed in the worst way possible.
