EXCITING (AND NERVE-WRACKING) NEWS!!
I received a notice in the mail yesterday from USCIS (INS) letting me know that my appointment for interview/citizenship test is next Friday at 10:10AM. We did not think this would happen so fast!!! There's a long list of documentation attached that I have to bring with me to the appt - of course I need to finish studying for the "civics" part of the interview. There will also be a test to determing whether or not I can speak, read and write English LOL.
After next week I guess they will be letting me know when the next swearing-in ceremony will be. YIKES! This is almost too much for me today......lol.....
Just got back from the gym and I am busy doing housework. Later on I have to get groceries, since I didn't go shopping last night. I want to get some Christmas shopping done this weekend as well. At least our house is fully decorated! We have a couple of holiday parties lined up for the time period week before to week after Christmas, and we are looking forward to those. It will be nice to spend time with friends and family.
It's been a busy week - I have been in the office every day. Tuesday I had to go in for my last Workplace Spanish class (Habla un poco de espanol) and then on Thursday I went in for a First Aid class. The County offers a wide variety of courses and seminars, all considered part of training, which are pretty interesting. Next week I have to go in on Wednesday as well, as I have two meetings. After next week I think I can relax a little, but I want to reorganize my cubicle around Christmastime (when it should be quieter!) for the new year.
