Currently 90 degrees, and it's supposed to get up to 99.

Man.

If I stayed off the internet I'd spend less time being outraged.

When will I learn?

Things that do not go well together:

Me, tired, sleep-deprived, with low blood sugar, annoyed about a quiz

and

Someone forcing me to walk through the door he is holding for me 'to be nice'

(At first I felt bad for being a bitch about it, but now I've had time to think about it, and I'm more annoyed than before.)

I need a haircut.

I have just discovered that people actually use the phrase 'was stood' in real life, as in "I was stood by the door.'

So, so weird. At least that explains why it keeps cropping up in fic.

Still hurts my head, though.

Misuse of the word 'lowly' by fic writers is fast overtaking 'looser' as my personal go-to word to HATE WITH THE FIERY HEAT OF A THOUSAND BURNING SUNS. This is something I've only really started to see recently, and I still hate 'looser' pretty hard, but in just the last 6 months or so suddenly this word is everywhere, being used in this context ( Read more... )
