Christmas Survey!

Taken from plucky_pevensie!

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? It really depends on the size of the gift but I like bags because they are reusable while the paper ends up being thrown away...unless you're really careful when you open a gift but that sucks the fun out of it, in my opinion.

2. Real tree or artificial? We've had artificial trees my whole life. It' ( Read more... )

Haha, the meme is getting around! ;o)

I love your answer to 9. Sounds like my dad. Give him anything, and I mean anything--books, dvds, maps, etc.--to do with nautical or military history, and he is as happy as a clam.

Wait, wait...was "Muppet Family Christmas" the one where they went to Fozzie's Mom's house and the Snowman came in and was talking and then they had Fraggles in the basement? It's been years since I've seen that, but Alex and I used to watch that constantly as kids!

Awww, wimpy boys not wanting to play Joseph! ;o) The Living Windows celebration sounds amazing. :o)

I thought it was a fun one! :-)

Dad's always been happy with anything. So has my mom. She's cool with kitchen items and jewelery so that's pretty easy. My brother's just hard because right now he doesn't have a particular collection he's working on. He used to collect action figures and book sets and now he pretty much has everything he wants. What he really wants is money (and fame for his band! LOL) but that is so impersonal from a sister.

Yes - the very same. I also really like A Muppet Christmas Carol but Muppet Family Christmas is the best, IMHO. The quote are amazing. "Look out for the icy patch!" We have an OLD VCR tape of the movie that we watch every year. We need to put it on DVD somehow. We actually had a DVD of it that we got off of ebay but it got stolen when our house was robbed. We haven't purchased another one because they are expensive!

I know! No one would do it so I got to ride in the float next to my friend who was playing Mary. It was fun! And yes, Living Windows is awesome. Actually, it's tonight and I'm

I know they are impersonal, too, but have you thought of a gift card? I LOVE gift cards (receiving them, anyway) because people do not seem to know what to give me, and this way, I can take the cards to my favorite store and go crazy. ;o)

My mom loves kitchen gadgets, too. In fact, I've got my eye on the cool Food Network food processor they have at Kohl's. Her food processor is like 30 years old and she really needs a new one.

Ah ha! I knew that was the one. Oh, I know about the DVDs being expensive. And what's up with them being out of print? I do Netflix, but for some reason, they don't have either "The Muppet Christmas Carol" or "Muppet Family Christmas."

Ohhh, good luck! I'm sure you will be awesome. :o)

Oh, I know he'd love a gift card. I just like to try something a little more personal, especially as gift cards are usually the things he gets from my aunts!

Food Network items are awesome. I love their basic white plates! I got my mom a Rachael Ray knife once! :-)

Well, in that case I'd better get both Muppet Christmas movies transferred from tape to DVD soon!

Hehe, thanks!

What's Christmas like in Australia? Do people start celebrating early like we do in the States?

HA! It was really easy. Wear Dad's bathrobe. Tie towel around head. Sit on trailer next to your friend in the same sort of getup holding a fake baby! Wave to parade-goers and have fun! But I was probably 11 or 12 at the time...what 11 year old boy wants to sit next to a girl for that long in front of all his friends? :-)
