For the last month we have been noticing the girls reciting songs or stories - stuff they have picked up from school - to one and other. They usually sing/say it to themselves or to each other but sometimes if we appear to be listening they will continue to entertain us as well. The new favorite is the five little monkeys in a tree, stop me if you've heard this one....
"Five little monkeys sittin' in a tree one the monkey said, 'you can't get me!' Alllloooooonnnnnggg came a alligator as slick as can be and SNAPPED that monkey right out of the tree!" *repeat*
Anya takes great pride in snapping the monkey out of the tree... she is horribly conflicted between elephants and alligators being her favorite animal. Her enthusiasm inwhich she tells the lesson of this tail really frightens me :) The first time we actually heard the tail was when they were sharing a bath and the high pitch giggles from both were entertaining and scary!
