Draco had finished dinner rather quickly, as McGonagall's welcoming speech had bored him to no end and he was eager to dissolve into the actions of unpacking his belongings. This year, since he had been elected Head Boy, he had private quarters in the Slytherin House. Smirking to himself, he jogged down the stairs to the dungeons, sneering at

She reached the bottom step and looked out in to the common room to see Draco, alone, standing near a book shelf. She smiled warmly as she pulled her hair back in to a short pony tail, tied with silver and green ribbons.
Yawning, she made her way towards the boy. She was still quite tired form a rough sleep and she didn’t yet notice the locket around his neck. Causally, she climbed onto the same sofa in which Draco had previously sat on. She curled into a ball, bringing her knees up to her chest.
Another small yawn escaped from her mouth as she glanced over at Draco. She gave him a small smirk, “So, Drakie, what do you think about the private rooms? Honestly, I miss my girls to much. Knowing them, they where up half the night gossiping on who hooked up over the summer. Snogs and shags.” She looked up at Draco with eyes that seemed to shimmer. He had really changed during the summer, he looked more ravishing then ever, almost breath taking. She noticed something odd though, something new. She lifted her head a bit and squinted her eyes to attempt to get a better focus on the thing around Draco’s neck. “What’s that? Around you neck?” She asked with a small nod.

He spun around, eyes narrowed as a sign that he didn't enjoy the interruption. But, remembering family appearances, he flashed her a charming smirk before responding. "In all honesty, Pansy, I find the private rooms to be quite . . . Pleasant. Then again, you didn't have to deal with Crabbe and Goyle's constant snoring." His handed lifted to adjust the locket about his neck, his knuckles brushing tenderly against the polished, metallic surface.
Then, she noticed it. He quirked an eyebrow at her obviously idiotic question, snickering slightly. "You mean to tell me that you, a Slytherin, can't even recognize your own House crest?" He strode forward, halting beside the couch and leaning forward to offer her a better view. "It's the locket of Salazar Slytherin. My mother gave it to me." He straightened his posture to a regal status, looking down his nose at her. "Honestly, Pansy. I thought higher of you." With that, he strode from the couch and headed toward the common room door.
He stopped half way across the room, tilting his head slightly to prove that he was speaking to her. "I believe breakfast has started." Without waiting for a response, he continued on his way, knowing full-well that the Head Girl would follow--in time.

She watching him walk out the door leaving her alone in the common room. The voices of a few third years started to descend from the stairs. She glanced at the stairs as their faced came into view. The sight of them irritated her. Never before has she seen a batch of so many half bloods. It sickened her. She then grabbed her books and ran after Draco.
They where half way out of the dungeon when she finally caught up to him. “Don’t think so low of me Drakie. My eyes just hadn’t focused yet. I had a rough sleep, I’m still really tired.” She sighed while she strung her arm around his and gave it an affectionate squeeze.
The lack of sleep was of course due to the worry of her father’s publicity. He had been accused of the murder of several mud bloods and one’s muggle wife. “I just don’t know what I’d do if daddy gets sent to Azkaban. I know that my mum would go mad. After twenty five years of marriage she is still madly in love with him. I hope I’m like that someday. So, tell me Drakie, how did you mum get the locket? I still can’t believe it.” She smiled and gave a small giggle while nuzzling his shoulder with her cheek. “My Drakie, with Salazar Slytherin’s locket. I almost feel unworthy of walking with you.”
