After the feast.

Draco had finished dinner rather quickly, as McGonagall's welcoming speech had bored him to no end and he was eager to dissolve into the actions of unpacking his belongings. This year, since he had been elected Head Boy, he had private quarters in the Slytherin House. Smirking to himself, he jogged down the stairs to the dungeons, sneering at ( Read more... )

It had been a very long time since last the locket was worn. Even its original owner had barely kept it around his neck, thinking the ring and locket a bit too much. The locket had served other uses, however, and had been kept safe for a time ( ... )

Draco stood back to examine his room, nodding to himself over the fact that it was exactly how he wanted it. Curious of the locket about his neck, he lifted the amulet to scrutinize the emblem, his eyes squinting slightly to make out every detail. His thumb ran across the design in hopes to make the snake easier to see. Shaking his head at the fact that this made no difference, he pointed his wand at one of the drawers in his bureau, summoning a soft strip of fabric to his aid ( ... )

Polishing? That's what it felt like. The subtle caress of the fabric against the locket's skin. It was an intrinsic move, one that got the locket's attention. The human was taking care of him. Well, that was intriguing ( ... )

Draco woke much earlier than he'd planned to, his eyes shifting to the clock resting upon his bedside table. 5:52 AM. Removing the locket from around his neck--as he was afraid what damage the water would do to it--the Slytherin Prince prepared for his shower.

Drying himself off quickly, Malfoy slipped the chain around his neck as he wandered into his room to adorn his school robes. A smirk tilted his lips as he remembered that today was the day to show off his 'family heirloom.' What fun he would have with that.

Seeing that he still had plenty of time before breakfast was served, Draco pulled a book from one of his shelves and strode into the common room. Certainly, no one would be awake this early, so he should be able to read in peace. Stretching out upon one of the lengthy leather couches, he opened the book to the page he'd marked, continuing where he'd left off ( ... )

Pansy staggered down the stares form the girl’s dormitories fashioning her tie around her neck. She, of course, was head girl for Slytherin house, leaving her with her own private room in which she hated. It was just too quiet in that room all alone. And mostly she felt left out form the fun and gossip that Daphne and the rest where having with out her. That wasn’t the only problem ( ... )

Draco had been so incredibly focused on the jewel around his neck, that he hadn't even heard the intruding girl seat herself on the couch. In fact, he'd just opened his mouth to respond to the amulet when she decided to address him ( ... )

Pansy rubbed her eyes when he came closer and she peered at the small locket hanging from Draco’s neck. She hadn’t noticed it before but now she knew that it really was the house crest. She gazed at its glory leaving her self speechless. And just the fact that it had once belonged to Salazar Slytherin alone made chills run up and down her spine ( ... )
