Personal Questions
1. What is your real, birth name? What name do you use? Jessica Lee Moore and “Jess” mostly.
2. Do you have a nickname? What is it, and where did you get it? Jess, and I’ve just had it forever, really. I’m only Jessica when I’m in trouble.
3. What do you look like? Oh god *laughs* I’m 5’11”, which has been annoying for most of my life, blonde, wavy hair that’s just below my shoulders. Weigh 150 lbs, blue eyes, and normally found reaching things on high shelves for friends.
4. How do you dress most of the time? Jeans and a nice shirt? I guess. I don’t know, how does your typical Stanford student dress? Put me into that category.
5. How do you "dress up?" Dresses, mostly. Maybe some nice slacks and a sweater.
6. How do you "dress down?" I love to sit around in sweats and an old tank top or hoodie.
7. What do you wear when you go to sleep? Old shirt and underwear, mostly.

10. What's your real birth date? July 15th, 1983.
11. Where do you live? A little apartment on the edge of campus. It’s larger than the ones closer in, but there’s not that much special about it. College furniture, and a decent amount of mess because I’m really not the tidiest person in the world. Decorated with mostly old posters of famous art that I like. Have some pictures up on the wall of friends and family. I really won’t win any awards for interior decorating, that’s for sure.
12. Do you own a car? Describe it: *Laughs again* Ah, yeah. A little Kia Spectra. I think Sam described it as a box on wheels, and I’m sort of expecting it to fall apart on me while I’m driving it, but it gets me from point a to point b and has been since highschool.
13. What is your most prized mundane possession? Why do you value it so much? The necklace my Dad gave me when I graduated from highschool. It just means a lot because it was a pretty big moment and he was really proud of me. I think he’d had it bought for a few years and actually managed to keep it a secret - which is a pretty big feat for him. It’s just a little diamond drop, but I really like it.
14. What one word best describes you? Passionate. Though, I think some people might say ‘trusting’.
Familial Questions
1. What was your family like? Frighteningly normal, honestly. My mom worked as a consultant for a publishing company and my Dad worked in technology. They both tried to be around as much as they could and did most of that normal stuff that kids do. Learned how to ride a bike, how to swim. Broke my leg falling out of a tree. Had a fort. Had sleepovers. I’ve got a pretty small extended family though - I was an only child and both of my parents were too. So, just us and the grandparents.
2. Who was your father, and what was he like? Eric Moore. He was awesome. I admit that I’m a bit of a daddy’s girl - he came to all my events when I was a kid and always brought me flowers on my birthday. He used to take me out of school every year for the first game of the Giants (the baseball team from San Francisco, not the football team from New York) season and we’d dress up and watch it. He always smelled like peppermints, and I’m really not sure why because he swore he didn’t like them.
3. Who was your mother, and what was she like? Anne Moore. She was great too. I really just had supportive parents. She worked odd hours, but she always called to tell me goodnight if she was going to miss me going to sleep. She packed great lunches too, and we talk at least once a week now that I’m away from home.
4. What was your parents marriage like? Were they married? Did they remain married? Pretty good, I guess. They had arguments because I think that everyone who’s together for that long has arguments but they had a pretty steady rule to never go to bed angry and that worked pretty well for them. They really tried to do things 50/50, but Dad was terrible at cooking, so I guess we were stereotypical that way, though it was always sort of fun when mom was gone during dinner time because Dad and I would eat things like ice cream and popcorn for dinner, or order a pizza.
5. What were your siblings names? What were they like? Only child. Always wondered what it would be like to have a sibling though.
6. What's the worst thing one of your siblings ever did to you? What's the worst thing you've done to one of your siblings? See above
7. When's the last time you saw any member of your family? Where are they now? Last holiday break. I try to go home for most of them, and some of the time Sam goes with me - especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. They’re back in San Francisco.
8. Did you ever meet any other family members? Who were they? What did you think of them? Every Christmas we get together with both sets of grandparents and my mom and dad, and like I said, Sam most of the time. My grandparents are great. I’m the only grandkid for both so I guess I was pretty spoiled when it came to birthdays and Christmas. Though, they loved spoiling Sam too.
Childhood Questions
1. What is your first memory? Cake. I don’t really know what birthday it was but my first real memory is of a vanilla cake that I was allowed to eat all by myself.

3. What was your favorite game? Hide and Go Seek.
4. Any non-family member adults stick out in your mind? Who were they, and how did you know them? Why do they stick out? A lot of my teachers through the years were vital in who I am today, in particular my high school freshman World Cultures teacher - I learned a lot about other cultures and respecting differences from her. She made me want to be a sociology major.
5. Who was your best friend when you were growing up? A girl who lived next door named Amanda. She was great, and until college we were pretty much joined at the hip. We still keep in contact through email and letters.
6. What is your fondest, childhood memory? I think that’s probably the Christmas when I turned five. I got a puppy. It was awesome. His name was Popcorn (because five year old Jess was incredibly original, let me tell you) and he was a golden retriever. He was the bonnie to my clyde for most of my childhood adventures. He died the year before I left for college.
7. What is your worst childhood memory? Probably breaking my leg after falling out of a tree. I’ve been scared of heights ever since.
Adolescent Questions
1. How old were you when you went on your first date? 13
2. It is common for one's view of authority to develop in their adolescent years. What is your view of authority, and what event most affected it? I think people in authority have earned respect by their position, but that they have to prove they deserve to keep it.
3. What were you like in high school? What "clique" did you best fit in with? Oh God, I’m not even sure. I had a lot of different friends from a decent number of groups. I was a band kid because I played flute, but Amanda was a cheerleader so I hung out with them a lot too. I was a member of the Quizbowl team because that same teacher talked me into it, and I dated a baseball player for a while so I knew those guys too. Don’t know exactly where I fit in best, but I was runner up for homecoming queen my senior year, there’s a fun fact for you.
4. What were your high school goals? Getting into a good college. Original, I know. But College was always something that was going to happen for me - my parents wouldn’t ever let me think otherwise, so highschool was basically a stepping stone for that.
5. Who was your idol when you were growing up? Who did you first fantasize about in your life? Ghandi. Which made me a total dork in high school. Thankfully I also knew pop culture references, but I was always more impressed by people who actually did things to make the world a better place. Who did I fantasize about? Well, that was James Dean.
6. What is your favorite memory from adolescence? Prom is the stereotypical answer, but it was actually pretty awesome. We stayed out all night, and then a bunch of my friends and I had rented two hotel rooms and I don’t think I’ve seen a crazier party since I’ve gotten to college. It was a blast.

2. Who is your closest mundane friend? Describe them and how you relate to them. Sam, easily. He’s-well, what girl doesn’t say their boyfriend is great? He’s great. His family moved around a lot as a kid and I think he’s still trying to get used to the fact that he’s allowed to be in once place for a while and actually make some friends. He’s pretty good at remembering all of those boyfriend things - but he does need to be dragged out and reminded to have fun every now and again. He hates Halloween, which is totally weird, but I guess everyone has their quirks. He’s scary smart - which is refreshing but also sometimes totally intimidating.
