What's your name?: Chy
Age?: 22
Where do you live?:  Austin, Texas.
Do you have a job?: I do, work for Americorps. Really early every day. L

How much RP experience do you have?: Oh god. I’ve honestly been RPing since I was 12 or 13 over on message boards on homesites (which doesn’t even exist anymore!) and then moved to Acornrack and Avidgamers, and then freshman year of college I discovered LJ RP and have been here ever since?  In total, I guess 10 years or so.

What are your feelings about shipping?:  Er. Well, I admit to having OTPs. I really do. And it’s rather hard for me to play other relationships off the bat if it’s not my ship - mostly because I have the ships I do because of subtext I found in the show/book/etc.  However, if there’s a basis in the CR for a new relationship being born I can absolutely get behind that. I’m also not going to force shipping on anyone else, though I do struggle to play against people who have an opposite ship of mine and try to get me to play it out. And there are some ships that squick me, and I just can’t play them.  So. Yep. In simple terms: I prefer to play out the ships I love just because I think an IC reaction leads to them, but if there is chemistry between two characters I’ve never shipped I’m not going to say no just because it’s not my ship - at the same time, if it’s my ship and there is NO CHEMISTRY I’m not going to play it out.

What are your feelings about smut?: It has its place in RP. I enjoy writing it with talented writers, but at the same time, my favorite part of smut is the build up and the thoughts that are happening DURING the smut. I-have a hard time just churning out pr0nz,  because  I feel lie there are only so many to describe the act of sex - especially emotionless sex - and I hate feeling like I’m just repeating myself over and over.

Are there things you won't RP?: Some pairings, yeah. Most other things I’ll give a try once.

What are your favorite things to RP?:  Emotions. I like to put my characters in awkward, potentially uncomfortable situations and seeing how they react. I try to avoid being one of those muns who constantly makes their muse the One In Trouble, but I do really enjoy seeing how characters react to life changing events. It’s also fun for me as a writer because I am challenged to make them respond to this new situation in a way that’s still In Character.  Also I am the world’s BIGGEST SUCKER for AUs.  I love them. I LOVE taking familiar characters and putting them in unfamiliar places and trying to see how they react. I think I - le gasp - might enjoy them more than canon because the characters are able to get up to more than they are in just a strict canon world.

What's something you wished would get RPed more?:  Build up. It’s fine if you want to only RP relationships, or if you want to RP plot - but not everything happens RIGHT AWAY NOW NOW NOW. I wish people - especially people RPing new relationships - would put the effort into the awkward bits of how the characters came to love or like each other, and once they’re in the relationship - I wish people would write more of the awkwardness that comes from relationships, the misunderstandings and miscommunications and sweet moments before they go straight to BABIES AND MARRIAGE.

Are you plot driven?:  Depends on who I am playing against. I like plot to exist - I like to have threads built around a central plot, but I’m also not above just playing a relationship thread for the heck of it. The whole “well let’s say they got together like this” business.

Slow or fast tagger: ....depends? I’m fast when I am feeling a muse and in their headspace, but if it’s a muse I’m struggling with or can get a grasp on for some reason then I’m incredibly slow. Also I’m slow if work was crazy that day, because I get home and just sort of stare at blank walls and try to revert my brain to grey matter instead of mush. Words don’t work so well then.

Who are your active muses?:  Lord, I have a list which can be found: here.

But at this very moment (and trust me, this can change in like a day - hence the list) my most active muses are:

Jess Moore  - hiscatalyst

Sam Winchester - mybrotherskeep

Remus Lupin - first_marauder

Carmine Vets - entice_collect

Your favorite muses to write?:  Depends on my mood. I really enjoy writing Jess because I feel like there was a lot of depth in that character we never got to see. I  love playing Toothless because it’s fun to play a muse that can’t talk  and try to give people enough to work with.  Sam Winchester is a blast because he’s just so… in need of a smack and a cookie, and it’s fun to be that mix of insufferable and vulnerable. Also all of my snarky muses because they’re just assholes and that’s fun.
