Nakamura Asumiko - Double Mints
So I finally bought "Double Mints" by Nakamura Asumiko and though parts of it were kind of hard for me to stomach -- lately, I've been kind of weak to abusive scenes -- it was a really nice story. The artwork was fabulous as always. Nakamura's style has really gotten me hooked. She does some horror/psychological-related stories too, but I'm not sure how well I can handle those for the time being lol. Lately, I just haven't been all too good with lots of things. I used to be able to stomach and tolerate a lot of different genres and various types of scenes, but it's getting harder each time. Still, I get through it 'cause I know the story's good ^_^;
Double Mints is very angsty, very dark, very different from Doukyuusei/Sotsugyousei. I like angsty, twisty and dark, but it was hard to read through the first time 'cause that was how much it affected me -- which goes to show that this mangaka is amazing if she can get me this bothered ^_^;;; Second run through it, was better. I'm too lazy to give a synopsis of the plot, but I do want to say that I recommend this story. I really like her style and her storytelling is really nice. If you're looking for dark and angsty, this is a good one to read ^__^
I have to scan/upload Sex Pistols Animal.33 in a few days. I thought about going to work to use the scanner, but that would be weird. I might have to settle for using my camera again.
Apparently, there's a ZE fanbook coming out on sale at the end of April and I want to buy it T___T, but I don't see pre-orders anywhere at the moment. *sigh* It looks like per the schedule on Shimizu Yuki's 15th Anni website, there are 6 bunko for Love Mode (yay~ The more the better *__*), last one should be out at the end of this month. I haven't gotten 4 or 5 yet T___T. I'm such a crazy fan. Not only do I have Love Mode in the original Japanese tanks (before Biblos was bought over by Libre), now I have the bunko version lol. If they do bunko for ZE, I guarantee you, I'll probably buy it too even though I have the Japanese tanks too lol. I'm kind of a die-hard Shimizu Yuki fan. Looks like ZE Volume 9 should be out at the end of April too.
I can't wait for the May edition of Dear+, looks like we'll get a look at Waki and Magane *___* And... exactly how old is Waki anyway? He seems just as ageless as the kami. He looks the same as when Genma was in his late teens, early twenties to him now in the present. Are kami makers... mortal? LoL. No idea at the moment, maybe I'm thinking too much.
