Nakamaru seize Kazu’s hand lightly. Luckily, they arrived at the hospital on time or else Kazu wouldn’t have made it. He has already loss a lot of blood at that moment. The doctor found out that there are many other scars on Kazu’s thigh. That means that this is not the first time Kazu has done this to himself. Now, they are just waiting for Kazu to wake up. All the other members also surrounded the bed that placed Kazu’s weak body. All of them rushes to hospital after Nakamaru call them. None of them could believe that the cheerful Kame-chan will do such things as suicide. They all feel guilty for not noticing Kazu’s depression. Koki break the silent by asking,
“Have you contact his family about this?”
“No. I don’t have the courage to tell his parent that their son cut his own wrist.”
“What did Johnny says, Ueda?”
“That we must shut our mouth up and don’t tell anyone about this. It will bring down our reputation. Maybe he’s afraid that the media will make fuzz out of this.”
“Damn it! Doesn’t he care about Kame’s life at all?”
They all fell silent again.
“I think you guys should go home first. I’ll take care of him.”
“But Maru, you must be tired. We’ll shift time to take care of Kame-chan, okay? You go home first, let Taguchi and me stay here.”
“That’s right, Maru. I’ll stay here with Koki.”
“No! I want to be here by his side when he wakes up.”
“Then, we all will stay here.”
By that, all of them stayed there for the rest of the night.
Kazu try hard to open his eyes. His vision still feels blurred as the darkness of the night welcoming his sight. He sees a figure leaning toward him on the chair beside the bed. The head of that person was close to his hand. He reaches out to touch the hairs.
“Jinnn….” ,he weakly whispered. The figure move.
“Kame-chan. You’re awake. I’m so scared back then. I thought you’re going to leave us. Do you need anything? Drink maybe?”
As soon as the voice hit his ears, tears start to flow greatly on Kazu’s white skin. It’s Maru. Not Jin!
“Maru, where’s Jin?”
“He already leaves to L.A this morning with Pi.”
“Kazu, I don’t know what happen between you and Jin but what you just did was really stupid!”
Maru couldn’t hold up his anger anymore. He cares about Kazuya so much. That’s why he’s so frustrated with what Kazu has done.
Kazuya just keep silent. In his head, he keeps thinking that Jin has leaves him. Now, he realize that it is not hurting Jin that calm him down. It‘s simply because it’s Jin who make him feel as if he’s being hold by something warm. But now, he has already lost that warmth. He has lost the only person that eases his heart.
“Kame, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to scold you just now.”
Nakamaru starts to feel panic when he notices that Kazuya is crying. He didn’t know what to do. Slowly, he held Kazu in his embrace. Kazuya quickly wrapped both of his arms on Maru waist. He sunk his head on Maru’s chest and cry as much as he want. That night, Maru promise himself that he will take care of Kazuya more than he has care about his own self.
It’s been a month now since Kazuya discharged from ward. He has been active back lately to avoid any suspicious from their fans. After doctor has recognized that he has a problem with his self-controlled due to depression, he has been brought to see psychiatric by Nakamaru. Only Nakamaru knew the entire things that happened between Jin, Yamapi and him. At first, Nakamaru was so angry that he slapped Kazu on the face despite Kazu is still sick. But after 2 days, Nakamaru came back to him and promise him that he will help him. He still remembers the entire things that happen the night he told Maru everything that had happen.
“You did what?!”
A slap was swing to his face. Kazu fell on the floor because of the impact of the slap. His white skin has shown a sign of swelling on his cheek.
“How can you do that, Kame! Jin and Pi are your friends, for God’s sake! What has got into you?!”
“I don’t know what’s happening to me. I hate who I am now. If only I can turned back the time, I swear I’ll never do it.”
“Help me, Maru. I want to be normal again. Please… I’m so scared. I don’t want to be alone in this. Please, Maru… Please don’t leave me like Jin did. I need a place to hold on to. I beg you…”
“I’m sorry. I can’t talk to you anymore right now. Before I reach my limit of patience, it’s better for me to go now.”
By saying that, Nakamaru leave Kazuya alone in the ward. He ignored Kazu’s crying and calling his name. He just couldn’t accept what he just heard. He needs to calm down or else he doesn’t know what he will do to Kazu. He really feels sorry for both Yamapi and Jin.
Since that, Maru has always been there beside him. He will make sure Kazuya get enough rest and enough food every single day. At 8 a.m everyday, Maru will showed up on his doorstep and bringing him breakfast. Then, he will drive him to work and also send him back home after work. On weekend, Maru will take him out. If not, he with other Kat-tun members will storm into Kazu’s house and they will spend the whole day there just by doing simple thing such as watching DVD. Now he knows that he was never alone. He always has his friends who care for him. They also prohibited him from drinking. It’s kind of funny when he thinks back what Maru and Koki has done to avoid him from drinking. They have replaced all the alcohol in his house with tea. And he only knew that when Taguchi spilled after drinking from one of his bottle of Brandy. Both of the TaNaka pair quickly runs out from the house when he starts to check every single bottle of alcohol in his shelf. The screaming of,”Run for your life” was heard from outside of the house. He can never get angry with them because they are his laughter now. But, no matter how happy he is, he still a part of him is missing. Is it because of Jin? He himself is not sure. He still didn’t know what the feeling that he felt for Jin is. He still loves Ryo, but at the same time he misses Jin.
In L.A…..
“Pi!!! I’m hungry!!!!”
“Geez! Can’t you just like wait a few more second! I’m cooking here! Beside, you’ve already eat the whole box of ice cream just an hour ago. No wonder you’re so fat like a pig!”
“That’s not food and I’m not fat! I need a real food!I’m soooo HHUUUNNNGGGGGYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!”
“I KNOW ALREADY! Shut up and wait or else I’ll make you eat the dining table!”
“I thought you love me! How could you willing to do such thing to me….*pout* *teary eyes*”
“Come on! Stop being a crybaby! I’m almost done here!”
“*shining eyes* Really??? YAY!! Pi is the best!”
After eating, Jin moves towards the couch and lie there while Pi cleans up the table. Jin grabbed one of his favorite comic-Slam dunk from the shelf. Suddenly, a piece of paper flew onto his laps. He held that picture in his hand. His heart clenched! A picture of sleeping Kazuya was presented in front of his eyes. Yes, he has thrown that picture away. But when he was about to leave the house, he turn back and took that picture back. No matter how hurt he was, he could never forget his love. When he heard Pi steps coming toward him, he quickly slipped back the picture between the comic pages. He doesn’t want to hurt Pi with showing him that he still thinking about Kazu even until now.
Kazuya keeps practicing the steps for their new single-Peak. Even though it is lunchtime, he still wants to practice those steps for he has already been left behind due to his sickness. Other members have left the room and they have promise to bring him some food when they get back. After repeating the steps a few more time, he stops and went to sit down on the bench in the corner of the room. Kazu stretch his leg for a few time to relax his muscles. Suddenly, the front door was opened hardly. Ryo showed up with anger burning in his eyes.
“Damn you Kame! I know what you’ve done to Jin and Pi. Pi has told me everything when I call him just now! That’s why they leave. You idiot! How could you be so cruel? What kind of human are you? Jin loves you so much and you hurt him? Not only that, you also hurt his best friend too?!”
Ryo’s hand is already grabbing the shirt that Kazu is wearing. His fist was raises high ready to make it way to Kazu’s pretty face.
“Cruel? You know nothing! I do it because of you! It’s all happen because of you! If you pay more attention to your surroundings, then maybe you will realize that I’ve been in love with you since like forever! Only that, maybe you will choose me instead of Tat-chan! Then maybe I wouldn’t waive my frustration to both of them! I was all because of you, Nishikido Ryo! ” Kazu let his tears flow down.
The gripped on Kazu’s shirt began to lose. Ryo was shocked with what Kazu has told him. His mind feels too confused now. After a few moment of silent, Ryo break it with unexpected request.
“Jin once told me that you never kiss him on his lips. If you really love me, then kiss me on the lips now.”
“What?!”
“You’ve heard me before. Kiss me on the lips to prove your love for me.”
Kazu feels his heart start to feel unsure. He never imagines that there will be a day like this. With shaking steps, he moves closer to Ryo. He wrapped both of his arms around Ryo’s neck. He can hear his own heart beating. He can feel that Ryo’s face moving closer to him. And it keeps getting closer. Now, there are only a few centimeters left between their lips to meet. He closes his eyes tightly as he can feels Ryo getting closer……
