I know it's early, but I have a Christmas crafts question-I want to make a popcorn string/garland for my tree this year. HOWEVER, I don't know how to preserve it so that the popcorn doesnt start.....Mildewing? Molding? Going bad? Any of the above. Not like I plan on EATING it, I just don't want that nastiness in my home. Nevertheless, what I'm concerned about is that we usually put the trees up around mid-november, and I'm worried about leaving popcorn out for six weeks. If you guys think it'll just get stale, then it'll be fine-Otherwise, can you suggest a way of helping keep it from ruining?
Also, obviously, I haven't done this before. I was going to just use day-old popcorn, dental floss, and a sewing needle. Any better ideas?
