Chapter 5 -
Jaejoong is tired. Why is he turned into a crybaby now? It’s all because of Changmin and Yoochun. They made him became like this.
Jaejoong rolled his body to the left. His pillows are wet because of tears. He clutched his chest. Why? Why does it hurt so much?
He wanted to hold onto the handkerchief again, but he realized he had given it back to Changmin. He chuckled at his own stupidity. Changmin gave him two, didn’t he? Why didn’t he keep one?
What would Changmin’s reaction be if he found out that Jaejoong love him? Jaejoong was scared of rejection. He’s never been good at handling his feeling of being left by someone. His mother left him, his grandparents, and his dog too. Then.. his father.
He couldn’t remember how much tears he shed that day.
He wondered why he fell for Changmin in the first place. Changmin belongs to the popular group. Their worlds are so different. It’s as if they don’t belong to the same world.
Suddenly his phone rings, startling him. He wiped away his tears and cleared his throat. Then he picked it up.
“Hello?”
“Hyung!” Came Junsu’s hoarse voice. Jaejoong knitted his eyebrows.
“Junsu? What’s wrong with your voice?”
“Eh? Oh, nothing’s wrong. I think I caught flu, but I’m still fine.” Jaejoong nodded, and he was sure Junsu knows he was nodding. “Hyung, I’m not going back tonight. I had to work on homework in my friend’s house.”
“What? But Taeyeon-shii is not going back too. Does that mean I’m alone tonight?”
“Kinda. Oh, don’t forget to check on the door later, yeah? I don’t want someone came barging in our house and steal you.”
“Haha. Very funny.” Jaejoong said sarcastically.
“Bye, hyung. Take care and.. I love you.” Junsu hung up.
I love you too, is what Jaejoong wanted to say. But he couldn’t say them. Why?
Maybe.. because he’s afraid of the word: Love.
-
Jaejoong was boiling milk in the kitchen when the door bell rings. He turned off the stove before walking to the front door to open it.
He couldn’t believe his love was just knocking on his door. Well, not really knocking since there was a bell. He gasped and was about to close the door again when Changmin held out his foot to prevent the door from being closed. Jaejoong opened the door again when he heard Changmin screamed out in pain.
“A-are you okay?” Jaejoong asked in panic. Changmin shook his head, he fell to the ground. Jaejoong rushed to his side and threw Changmin’s arm over his shoulder to help him stand up. He helped the limping Changmin to sit on the couch in the living room.
“Wait for a moment, okay? I’ll go and get the first aid kit.”
Jaejoong returned a moment later, and he saw Changmin crunched up his face from the pain. Jaejoong approached him and squatted down to examine Changmin’s ankle. He held Changmin’s ankle and rubbed it slowly. Changmin gasped from the pain.
“Is.. is it really hurt?” Changmin nodded. Jaejoong felt guilty for hurting him. “I’m sorry.” Then he started to nurse on Changmin’s ankle and covered them in a neat bandage.
Changmin smiled. He forced Jaejoong to look up when he finished with his ankle. “Thank you.”
Jaejoong looked away, to hide his tears. But Changmin know better. He wiped away Jaejoong’s tears and kissed his forehead gently.
Jaejoong’s heart beat too fast. Changmin kissed him. Changmin kissed him. Changmin kissed him. Jaejoong kept on repeating like a broken cassette.
“I missed you.” Changmin whispered to his ear. He kissed Jaejoong’s cheek, then his lips travelled down to Jaejoong’s lips.
Jaejoong closed his eyes. He felt Changmin’s lips pressed against his softly. Their kiss was sweet and gentle. Unconsciously, Jaejoong’s hands made their way to Changmin’s nape and pulled him closer to deepen their kiss.
Jaejoong would moan into the kiss every now and then. Changmin stopped kissing Jaejoong’s lips, but he made his way to Jaejoong’s neck and kissed it tenderly. Jaejoong squeezed his eyes shut and enjoyed the pleasure Changmin was giving him.
Then Changmin pulled away. Jaejoong’s eyes fluttered open and Changmin stared into those big doe eyes. “It’s now or never.” Changmin whispered to himself. He held Jaejoong’s hands and placed them on his chest where his heart is. “Can you feel them? They’re beating for you, Jaejoong.”
Jaejoong blushed, but keep his hand still on Changmin’s chest, feeling his heart beat.
“Jaejoong, I love you.” Changmin said, kissing Jaejoong again. But he pulled away when he felt a cold liquid touching his cheek. He looked at Jaejoong and realized Jaejoong was crying. “Why are you crying? It’s okay if you don’t like me, but please don’t cry.” He said as he wiped away Jaejoong’s tears.
Jaejoong shook his head furiously. “No-” He choked on his own words. He looked up to Changmin. “I-I love you too.” He managed to finish his words, earning a wide smile on Changmin’s face.
Changmin pulled Jaejoong into his embrace and kissed Jaejoong’s eyelid. “This is thanks to Park Yoochun.”
Jaejoong pulled away when he heard the name. “Yoochun? Why?”
Changmin stroked Jaejoong’s hair lovingly. “He came to me today and he told me everything.” Jaejoong widened his eyes. Changmin chuckled. “You’re that geeky kid, right? And also the one who I lent my handkerchiefs to.”
Jaejoong blushed. That bastard Yoochun. How could he tell Changmin without informing him first!
Seeing the look on Jaejoong’s face, Changmin pulled Jaejoong to sit on his lap. “Don’t make that face, and don’t ever think of killing him. We should be thankful of him.”
Jaejoong snorted, but snuggled into Changmin’s broad chest. “Why should we?”
Changmin kissed the top of Jaejoong’s head and smiled. “He made me realize how stupid I am for not remembering you.” Jaejoong blushed. “Well, I can’t help it, can I? You changed so much! Where’s that big glasses? And you’re so cold now that I didn’t recognize you!”
Jaejoong hit Changmin’s chest playfully. “You’re so mean.”
“You’re even meaner to me, baby.”
Jaejoong blushed even deeper, if that’s even possible. He hid his face in Changmin’s chest. Changmin laughed and ruffled Jaejoong’s hair.
Changmin pulled away to look at Jaejoong’s eyes. “So, what are we now?”
Jaejoong kissed the tip of Changmin’s nose and smiled. Changmin really wanted to capture that smile and saved it inside his heart forever. “Lovers.”
-
“That bastard Shim Changmin! He’s going to regret it!” Yoona slammed her fist to the table in front of her. She grabbed another glass of beer and gulped it down.
The banging loud music in the club didn’t affect her as she kept on asking the bartender to give her another shot after shots.
She had that vicious look on her face and her gaze is so sharp as if it can kill a person.
Oh yes, she’s going to kill that person. That person who took Changmin’s heart.
She promised herself that. If she can’t have Changmin, then no one can.
