Week Name/Date/Time: 'Lost and Found' / Thursday 17th November 2005 / 7:08 PM Location: Quidditch Pitch Open To: Hargreaves Currently Involving: Adrien
Hargreaves sprinted down the hard stone stairs so quickly he nearly tripped on his feet a few times. He never tried to be late, but he had stayed longer than expected at supper and then still had to go back for his broom. Thankfully, he was only ten minutes late or so. He figured Adrien would understand, he usually did.
JUST as he turned the corner to the pitch he stopped in his tracks, regained his breath, straightened his hair and got all tidy, and then strolled out as cool as a cucumber. His shiny shoes crunched in the grass, looking sophisticated and neat, as if he hadn't ran the marathon back and forth through the castle.
Image is everything, Hargreaves, his father had told him many times.
He approached Adrien without even greeting him, as he was one of his close friends, which was a rarity for him, really. "Sorry I'm late, Bennet. Bit of a supper mixup." This usually meant he had been stuck listening to mindless chatter coming from some mindless Hufflepuff, which actually happened frequently, so Adrien was certain to
It was a good thing that Adrien hadn't seen him nearly tripping or else he would have laughed. Hard. Well, some friend he was. But hey, the Hargreaves he saw approaching him was looking completely composed and un-tease-worthy

"It probably was the same person," Adrien responded. "I don't know too many puffs who just waltz over to a Slytherin and strike up a conversation." But then again, he didn't really consider the Puffs to be the smartest of houses so maybe there were a handful who were just that stupid. "I don't know how you manage to listen to all of 'em. You really need to learn that no, not EVERYONE is going to help you in your master plan or whatever and that it won't kill you to be rude every once in a while
( ... )
"Well, you'll be glad to know that I have nearly the entire Gryffindor house absolutely despising me," he smirked. "That should satisfy you." Not that he'd been right mean to any of them, actually. They ganged up on him, more like. Of course, he would never say or admit this.
He smirked, "You are antsy to get up in the air, you are." He slowly put his broom under him, not making any sudden movements, before shooting up into the air as fast as he could, hoping to trick Adrien.
"Well?" he looked down from one hundred feet up. "You said so."
Adrien arched a brow. "Really now. Your charm was lost on them? Who would have thought." Not that it was really all that surprising- Gryffindor hated Slytherins on principle- but he would have figured that he would have managed to at least 'befriend' some of them. Hargreaves was known for his ability to manipulate people, after all. "You must be losing your touch," he teased
( ... )
"What has been going on with me?" he asked aloud, watching Adrien fly around like a first year. "Oy, Bennet, are you getting a bit rusty on that broom?" he joked.
"Well," he thought, coolly hovering in one place, keeping perfect balance. "Nothing. I'm in a bit of a rut, really. So bored lately. Nobody to threaten, nobody to talk to, no plots to hatch. . ."
He stopped and smirked. "Well, actually, had a lovely chat with Rae at lunch today. Apparently she wants me to put the old 'Beckett Magic' on a Gryffindor." He frowned, "No idea how I shall accomplish that. No good, the lot of them. Stupid, too. Why she wants me to get to know one of them is anyone's guess."
"She wants me to get this bird to fancy me," he said, disgusted. "I don't DO that. It's only the truly daft ones that get all clingy to me. I don't know if I can do that purposely. Maybe by just a stroke of luck I'll catch this girl at a good time, but I doubt it."
He whined, "It makes it so DIFFICULT, this Gryffindor business. But what am I going to say to Rae? No?"
Addy scoffed. "Of course not. Just preparing myself for flying with you. You do know I always have to hold myself back, don't you?"
Nothing? How boring. He could usually count of Hargreaves for some interesting news, either from some random kid he charmed or Rae. Adrien perked up a bit as he heard him mention some plan with Rae. "Don't you get along with that Zhang girl? Jackie?" he asked. Adrien certainly wasn't going to act like he knew her; the last thing he wanted was for Hargreaves to know about his rather interesting relationship with the girl. "If you could get her to like you, I'm sure you could do it again."
"It's not hard to do," he informed him. "If you can charm practically everyone, you can get some random bird to like you. Just flirt a bit or something." Then again, the thought of Hargreaves flirting? Absolutely hilarious. He had to bite back a laugh at the thought.
"Stop whining about it. of course you're going to say yes. It'll be entertaining." He paused, tilted his head to one side. "Unless you're afraid," he
( ... )
Hargreaves crinkled his sharp nose up at remembering that aspect of his time here at school. "Zhang? Oh piss off. She likes everyone. All you have to do is smile at her and say something about Quidditch and she eats out of your hand, practically. She's a pushover
