Emmy lay on one of the large comfortable couches in the common room, her legs stretched up along the length of it. She wiggled her toes in her rainbow socks, a book of blank pages on her lap. She had intended to work on some poetry, some sketches of new outfits she had dreamed up, or perhaps some notes for Quidditch or even the paper (wouldn't Kat be proud!), when she'd settled on the couch, but she had quickly lost herself in daydreaming.
She was humming a tune from Cinderella softly to herself, and only those who knew her best could have guessed all the things she was pondering on. Everything from classwork to boys to why the sky was blue passed through her mind. She was in a cheerful, relaxed mood, having had another delightful day. Tuesdays were always especially lovely because they meant Muggle Studies and visiting with her favourite teacher, Professor Dalina.
She giggled to herself, wondering if she could come up with something to write to Nate or Vi or her parents. Of course, she'd just written them all on Sunday, but she was just a little bored, having enough of her schoolwork done to satisfy her own (rather lax) requirements. She wondered if maybe she could get her siblings to owl her a few more photos for her album. She did so love to mess about with it and was ever adding more to it. And she was missing quite a few people, especially her Muggle mates back home, who she missed rather keenly just then. Oh, to have someone to dance with again!
