Gabriel came in to the common room to relax after dinner. He ran his fingers through his hair as he entered the mildly lit common room. He began to walk to go sit by the fire on the couch but noticed that someone was already there, more specifically a girl, even more specifically Emmy. Gabriel smiled a bit. He noticed that she was focused on a piece of parchment, and he thought maybe she was doing homework.

He pondered if she had noticed him yet to speak to him. Gabriel didn't want to break her concentration but he wanted to be polite and at least say hello, so he took a moment then he said "Hey Emmy."

His Charms homework was actually done. He deserved a bloody trophy for not only finishing it, but finishing it the night before it was due (and not in the hour before it was due like he usually preferred completing it). Instead, though, he thought perhaps wandering into the common room would be an all right alternative to trophies and celebrations thrown in his favor.

As he came down, he acknowledged Gabriel. "Hey, mate," he said with a nod and a wave on his way past. He meant to say something else, but then he noticed Emmy, and caught her mid-giggle to boot.

"Hey, Quidditch captains don't giggle," he said seriously, although his eyes let on that he was amused. Cocking his head to the side, he wondered out loud, "Or do they?"

Emmy looked up cheerfully at the sound of her name, "Evening, Gabriel!" she waved. But before she could say anything else, Jory joined them and she grinned at him. She laughed at his comment, "Oh, but of course we do, Jory!"

And to prove her point, she giggled for a while longer, as obviously as possible. Then she swung her legs off the couch to offer them more room, "What brings you two to the common room, hmm? Care to join me or have you plans? Don't let me keep you, certainly, though you're welcome to share the couch. Seems we've not chatted in ages!"

She patted the couch beside her and waved them over, "What have you been up to? Studying hard?" she giggled again, thinking how silly it was that everyone always seemed to think Ravenclaws spent all their time studying. Emmy, herself, rarely did any such thing.

Gabriel took a seat on the armrest of the couch, and put his arm over the back of it. He gave a content grin to the both of them, and gave a nod to Jory as he entered. They were best friends after all since their 1st year. He looked to Emmy again as she spoke, and responded to her numerous sets of questions "I just came in here to relax. I'll join you. I have nothing else to do anyways."

He turned his gaze to Jory "What about you? You want to join us? Maybe we can actually try to find a conversation that doesn't lead into the Ravenclaw strategies of Quidditch, eh?" Gabriel laughed a bit, only joking with his friend.
