I had a lot of things to escape from in High School such as heartaches, heartbreaks and haunting memories. Guess I got quite redundant and repetitive in stating that one.
"Heartaches,
heartbreaks, and
haunting memories."
Needless to say, my high school life was not flawlessly stellar. I've had my greatest moments there which involved learning how to be truly affectionate and falling in love for the very first time. However, it was not always as beautiful. It was within this life bracket wherein I first felt how to have my heart broken, and let me tell you, that was the most heart-ripping, most tear-jerking, and most painful memory ever.
And all I wanted was to simply escape…
which meant leaving high school.
Even during a few weeks ago, I had the same uncontrollable urge. I wanted to move out of high school soon. Hence, consider HIM discarded in my life. But having to graduate just yesterday left me with something a little different.
I HAVEN'T HAD ENOUGHT YET.
of High School, I mean.
I'm going to miss an awful lot of things...
However, things have not truly ended yet. In two weeks, we're all attending the UECP Youth Camp. When that's over, then that's the time to really cry and get all sentimental.

THE UPDATE:
March 28, 2006. A very eventful day on my calendar. My Graduation Day.
But wait, let's see how anxious I got the night before.
March 27 : I lacked sleep, so I wanted to sleep a little earlier than the usual. It was nine when I finally rested my tired body on the bed. However, I faced difficulty in sleeping, not only because I was damn excited about the next big day, but because of my allergy cough that seemed to be quite worse than the normal. After a few minutes ticked by, I finally dozed off and the five messages on my phone that I did not hear can testify to that. So I really got to sleep, but sadly, only for a short hour. Soon, I was up again coughing my lungs out and I felt like all my energy was being used by my efforts to cough. I felt so 'jelly' actually. (Jelly in my vocabulary means: the state wherein one's body is in lack of energy and cannot move as swiftly anymore.) And then my Grandma saw my pitiful (haha!) state and offered me two mugs filled with hot water, and I guess due to THAT together with my prayer and repeated saying of 'FAITH' silently in my head (for begging purposes to mend my aggravated lungs to God), my coughing subsided. And in a short matter of time, I then was able to sleep through the rest of the night.
5:30 AM. I had my alarm set early because I wanted have my hair waved/curled. However, I really couldn't do curls in a professional way so the final product did not live up to my expectations formulated in my head. Who was I to think I could actually pull that off, anyway? But despite my not-so-glamorous-and-fabulous hairdo, I ended up feeling confident and pretty as usual. Thought everything turned out well after that? Well, think again.
As my family's normal notoriety, I left home 25 minutes later than what I had planned. Therefore, I got quite nervous again about getting late and not being able to hand my CAT uniform to Erika who needed it. My solution? Prayer. I prayed through the rest of the ride till I got to my destination- my wondrous school, Gideon! HAH! Ten minutes before eight. Just enough time to get things going, but in a slight rush, perhaps like running so fast to get to my classroom when I was in HEELS!!! Haha!
Anyway, I arrived safely. Soon, we reached the outside part of the auditorium and mingled, mingled and yeah, mingled more with people. To my surprise, Alfred, my first crush ever, was there. His face even made me remember Zhen Wei, for Pete's sake! Only way hotter and juicier! Haha! So there, we shook hands and spoke a little but there was not anything much to it anyway.
...And the marching sound began, which signalled our walking through the aisle. Cadets and cadettes in line. Swords up. Commands thrown. And off we go to walk and march for our processional the final time. This was really IT. The entire program went as it was printed in the program sheet. The best part? Hmmm.. When I received all my awards one by one? Chinese second honor. Chinese salutatorian. English third honor!Hah! Talk about egotism. But heck, let's get transparent. I LOVE THE ATTENTION, what can I do?
Then the video came, the announcements and the like. Finally, the throwing off of our white caps.
Oh, I was so kidding. There wasn't any throwing that took place. Sadly.
However, we had a designated time for pictorials afterwards. We had to line up on the stage like we normally do and flash smiles to the camera for several long minutes. It felt so fake since it was like a grin pasted on our faces when in fact, we couldn't wait to get out of that stage and have our faces back to normal, without those fake smiles! Haha! It was funny though. Moving on, I had pictures taken with David and his mom! and of course with my classmates. Aww, I'm gonna miss them massively.
And it was time to head down the stairs, and guess who I saw there? Vincent! Hah! He shook my hand as he congratulated me. There was something indescribable in his handshake that felt really weird. Ugh. Anyway, I reached our classroom soon enough to grab all my cards and medal boxes (ahem! medal! boxes!) as well as our Cattleya treat! Got hugs from David and Peter. Both my requests. Darn it. (Oh, let me give you a littel flashback. Peter asked for a hug last Sunday after our Baccalaureate! Ha! Beat that!)
Tralalala.. And we're off to go.
Had lunch at Aristocrat with my family. Honetsly, I really got infuriated by my Dad's all-time worrywartness and aggravated self. My schedule for the rest of the day was still unstraightened and I felt lost in my own plans. I did not even have fashionable clothes with me to wear. My Dad ended up dropping me off to Glorietta, and take note: Since I did not have any clothes available with me, I wore my school uniform throughout the day, BUT with my new black stilettoes & in my bag was my white slippers (Haha! Just in case I couldn't endure more feet pain anymore!)
So I met them at Starbucks G4. Had a great, old-fashioned chat with Yu Ann, Christianne, Ana and Bryan. Took some pictures and then when JonB and Jawn arrived, went to Timezone for some real fun time! We played the boat race thingy that immensely caused arm muscle pain, but then, the pain was worth the fun. Also, we played the hand thingy produced by the same owner as Dance Revolutions. And then the über gruelling drums. Also played airhockey (wherein I lost, AGAIN) and car racing (wherein I lost too. Dang! But hang on, you'll see how I ended up successfully.) At 4, Diane together with Donna, David and Kurt showed up. At the first sight of my best friend, the truth is, I got a little strike of envy rushing through me again. Why? BECAUSE SHE GOT TO DRESSED UP AND I WAS NOT ABLE TO. I felt like she was gonna be hot all throughout the evening, while I would get simply wrapped up in my so unfashionable and untrendy school uniform. However, I realized something soon: I STILL LOOKED HOT IN MY UNIFORM!!! Haha! Some people just get to be blessed with the appeal even while wearing her hedious school uniform. *Egotism reaching its highest point! Kidding*
As planned, we went to Saisaki and had a good old chat while waiting for the clock to hit 6. And when it did, we all began going for FOOOOOD! For some strange causes, I ended up partnered with David. He was my partner in getting foods, and our first stop was Kamayan, though I kind of cheated and took some from Dad's because I'm not much into Filipino foods. Duh?! I'm an American, isn't it apparent in the way I look? Haha! Anyway, so there. We sorta bonded along getting what we wanted to eat and even joked about some foods there such as the POISONOUS soup and stuff. Haha! Finally, we reached the table while everyone was already seated and eating peacefully, wrapped up in their own gluttonic worlds. Sadly, my appetite was not at its normally highest peak. Hence, I did not eat much.
Then, it was TAKE TWO, and again, my partner and I scooped some ice cream. We even laughed hilariously about the bouger-looking chocolate ice cream spot on my strawberry ice cream which David envied much.
(Am I getting too focused on how we were partnered by our own selves? Well, let's just put it this way: I enjoyed being with him, okay? It felt great to be with him again. I guess some people just never move on.)
TAKE THREE: It was Pasta time and we shared a plate of Fettuccini which had its cheesy stench. BTW, it made Donne puke instantly. Haha! Anyway, along getting our third helping, we saw Seung Beom outside! Hah! Talk about coincidence! He was with his little brother, who BTW irritates me, and his hot mother. David found her hot too! Hahahaha!
Another proof of my luckiness that day: Peter came along after all, together with Charles, who BTW had his family come too. And guess what? I had my mission accomplished. I WAS ABLE TO KISS PETER ON HIS CHEEK! Yeaaaah! Score time! Hahaha! Man, did he look so adorable!
La la la...!
When they arrived, it seemed as if our table began to get a little lively. We took pictures, and laughed hysterically in odd manners. It caught some eaters' attention, but who cares? This is a free country, right? Right! In shorter words: IT WAS DAMN FUN!
I did not expect this, but there was a TAKE FOUR. In this, he invited me to accompany him in getting food. *Kilig*
At 8plus, we tidied ourselves up and went to Greenbelt. Jawn and I had our bonding moments that time which was quite fun, actually. We ran through the mall to the bridgeway to Greenbelt like some kids, and yeah, it was really fun! Soon enough, we reached Absinth. But then, the place was empty until a group of teenagers our age went it. Since we were the amateurs, we copied them and went in also. But soon, maybe they felt like it was still too early, so they headed out the bar. And once again, we copied them! Haha! We went to Timezone instead. Oh yeah, wait. Before that, JonB pooped! Hahaha! Anyway, back to Timezone. We played exhausting games again but enjoyed every single one of them. Jawn, Donna, Kenneth and I raced for three to four times, and guess who won four times successively? ME! Haha! Always the first one! Yeahboi! Maybe this signals me to join some real racing or something! Haha!
At 9:30, it was the real Absinth time.
Wait, let me take the REAL word back.
It was quite lame, actually. It was our first step to getting wild! Hahaha! Just kidding. But the point remains. It was our first step to fitting into the real world, which involved some wildness. Hah! We ordered only one alcoholic beverage-Sex on the Beach. And the rest were two glasses of mango juice and three free ice cold tap water! We even were not able to hit the dance floor. Too bad I was not able to show off my hot moves! LOL. Talk about LAMENESS. But then again, in spite of my lame descriptions of that portion of our day, it was atill FUN. See how fab my day was?
At 10, it was goodbye to the most of them. And that gave me another opportunity to get a cozy hug from the handsome Peter! Hahaha! Oooh. Man, did it felt gooood! *kilig*
The people left with me: Diane, Donna, David and Kurt.
So we walked around and around, until we finally stopped and made ourselves comfortable sitting inside Starbucks while drinking Esprit, the 'supposedly' alcoholic drink! Haha! We pretended it had some high alcohol content! It was just so hilarious! Talked, talked and talked. We even touched Jean's issue as well as my past with David slightly. Honestly, it bothered me a little, but then I think I handled it well anyway at the end of the night.
I'm actually glad I got to spend time with some of them that night, like David (AHEM!), Kurt, Jawn, Yu Ann, Kenneth, Charles and JonB. And oh yeah, Peter. Hahaha! And of course, the usual ones too like Diane, Donna, Christianne..
MAN, YESTERDAY WAS THE BOMB!!!
Love it!
Love it!
Yes, I really do love it!
