Mid-January Fic Roundup + Statistics
Before I release the second challenge for this month, I'd like to do a fic round-up so that y'all can see the works done by your fellow HiHers so far! :D
Chelsea of Hufflepuff (senslogine wrote a beautiful piece titled Home, for Challenge #75: One Small Moment. It centers around Ron and Hermione, with Chelsea asking: What if Lavender never kissed Ron, and he and Hermione went to Slughorn's party together? Well, WHAT IF? Our second fic of the term/month is by Sas of Raveclaw (yes, that is what is on the post. What, we Claws do rave~), theaeblackthorn. It's a humorous piece written for the January Challenge NYR With A Twist, and it's called That time James got lured in by a fad diet, revolving around the pairing James/Biscuits. Visit that fic, read it, and leave her a loving comment, won't you? :D
Sophie of Hufflepuff (ladysophiekitty) stormed onto WB with FOUR fics just this week. There's a James/Lily piece written for Challenge #84, titled Holiday Traditions. The next one is for Challenge #77, called A Place Called Home, which revolves around Rose, Dominique and Scorpius and dinner. The third reveals a secret about a Muggle (Challenge #67), and the title says it all: Anne Boleyn. And finally, we have a angst piece for Challenge #56, a Harry/Hermione fic titled Were we in love?. A huge round of applause to Sophie for her works~ she's written almost 3000 words; now it's your turn to write some nice comments, hmm? :3
And we have Caitie of Hufflepuff (caitieness) who started off the new week with two pieces of fiction. We have a Neville/Ginny piece called Another Day for Challenge #74: Don't Speak. In addition, there's one on Harry, Dudley and a New Year's resolution for Challenge #85 and it is titled Socks. Visit those works, won't you, and leave her a lovely little review? C:
I'm sure the writers of these wonderful stories would love to have feedback on their writing, so please do check them out. Perhaps you may find yourself falling in love with an unexpected character. Or perhaps... you will fall in love with an author XD
Some stats!
So far, there have been 4 unique writers for the month of January, 3 Hufflepuffs and 1 Ravenclaw. (Where are the Lions and the Snakes, bbs?) In the running for Most Prolific Writer (+5 points at the end of the month!) is ladysophiekitty with a current total of 2916 words. theaeblackthorn and caitieness stand to earn their respective Houses an additional 10 points if they complete the second January Challenge. Remember that anyone who completes both monthly challenges are eligible for the extra 10 points. ( Challenge 85 is here, if you want!)
