Name: Bellatrix Lestrange
Format: Diary
Date: Summer 1977
Relevance: Excerpt from the diary kept by Bellatrix Lestrange throughout the wars.

It's too long since he called me to him. It's too long. I've been alone in my head for too long and I find no friends there. Nothing but this silent traffic of faces.

I begin to doubt myself. What if this is not real? What if this is nothing but a dream? A soft beautiful dream? What if he is not real? Maybe I've been curling inside on myself and fashioned the idea of him out of what I need? I can hardly bear to consider it. The world is rushing in on me, I can feel it coming like blank grey walls. It will confine me. And I will sit here at this mirror for years and years and years and

NO. No. I have his mark. And maybe in an hour or a day or He will call me to him.

He will call me because I am his Bella. I will go to him and he will make the noise go away. He will put my bones back under my skin.

He exists. He exists and I exist and this world is not the enemy.

Bellatrix has faith. Bellatrix is faithful. Believe Bella believe.

De profundis clamavi ad te Domine.
