One of my favorite things about Hamilton fandom is that it's collectively decided that in a world where EVERYONE LIVED, that Theodosia and Philip would TOTALLY have fallen in love. And I for one, am here for it.

Why This Must Be Read: This is the story that made me fall HARD for this pairing. Philip and Theodosia meet as strangers in a bookshop and flirt a little until they both realize who their fathers are. Philip manages to survive his duel and they begin a courtship via letters. But how to convince their fathers to bless their union? This is the BEST of fix-it fics. I love how sharp and fiercely intelligent Theodosia is, and how much Philip respects her mind. I adore the delightful loving chaos that is the Hamilton family (8 kids!!) and Burr's adoration of his only daughter. I love how Theo and Philip work together to bring peace between their families. Lovely lovely lovely. Highly recommended.

Why This Must Be Read: A Modern AU set just after Alexander's sex scandal goes public. Philip is trying to keep the peace when he comes home from college but things are...difficult to say the least. Theodosia offers him some comfort and distraction. I feel like the author got the family dynamics right, considering what they're going through. And I like how Philip and Theodosia are less extreme versions of their father and that while they disagree they also like and respect each other despite those differences.
