Just remembered I had this thing floating around in one of my notebooks. Not an award winning type or anything, but done for class and one of the only ones I actually liked.

In the deepest woods
A withered oak tree asks us
"When will humans leave?"

All right, I'm really, really, extremely pissed right now. It seems that the poetry contest I entered in was a huge scam. That's what I get when I don't check out everything like I usually do. I'm just really upset now because after receiving glowing reviews on my poetry I feel like I have no talent for the written word anymore. It's horrible ( Read more... )

A poem I make while reading the 5th Harry Potter book. The first few lines kept on running around my brain and wouldn't leave me alone until I had the whole thing written down. Wasn't even past the fifth page of the book either. So around two hours later I finally had it done.
