After fleeing Karla's chambers, Momoko and Dinah
had returned to Sidra a little calmer and just in time for
Hobart's trial and sentencing.
Dinah hadn't stayed much longer, though. Hadn't been able to stay and know that Ludmilla was going to be
executed for crimes she had
confessed to but never committed.
Momoko... Momoko had wanted to leave just as much, but she had to clear things between her and Karla and Warren. Had to. Which is why she was outside Karla's chambers as soon as it was light enough to be wandering around.
"Lady. Why are you hanging about on the ceiling?" Okay, so maybe no so much waiting as she was hiding floating out of sight so that she could avoid Warren if he was still grouchy and over-protective. Though she had to make up with him, too...
Uhm... "Testing you?" Momoko sighed and dropped back slowly to the ground and faced the guard. "Your... guardiness ability?"
Rolf happened to be one of the best of their troops, so of course he knew and felt comfortable enough with Momoko to give her a dry look in return. "Mmmhmm."
Momoko's look? Totally said: Shut up I can still make you do laps.
Aloud, she asked, "Has the Lady Queen left her chambers yet?"
"Not through this door." There was silence for a moment while Craft was used. "The shields are still in place and the Lady Queen and her Consort are still inside." Rolf turned back to Momoko with a small smile. "Would you like a chair, Lady, while you wait?"
She would like to rush the door and wake her friends. And after probably a pillow fight, then they could go get breakfast and talk and make up and Momoko could go home knowing that she still had two of her best friends! But she wasn't sure what reception she would get after the other day. "No. No, I'll speak to her... later."
Of course, later Karla was wrapped up in Court matters and re-establishing the house and other Queenly duties. And then there was the small, private funeral for Ludmilla... so it wasn't until late that Momoko finally gave in and asked for a private audience at the Lady Queen's earliest convenience.
And now Momoko was waiting for... something. Somehow to know that she could talk to the Queen. "Ah ah. I just want to talk to Karla." She sighed and fell back on the mattress of the bed in her assigned chambers. She raised her hand to look at the ring she still wore. The one that said she spoke in the voice of the Queen. "And why didn't you work
the one time I needed you?"
