Yes. May be biased, as the ones I'm most familiar with tend to act for the people instead of just collecting tithes.

Dinah snapped a quick picture of Karla, and grinned. "Momoko and I went shopping on Saturday," she said, keeping her voice down. "She's wearing her momo's robe-thingy-- uh, kimono-- but we went looking for accessories, and then she talked me into it, so... it works?"
