The 2010 Top 100 Baby Names List has been released.  The comments on that page are absolutely horrible---apparently, a lot of people like to bitch about trendy names.  Why?  I know names have power and everything, but seriously, what with all the angry people and the trolls?  I mean, dear Lord, these people are pretentious and obnoxious!

On Fridays, I volunteer at a local children's museum that gets a lot of visitors, especially during the summer.  I meet a lot of little kids, and while I don't all of their names, I've noticed a naming trend: I've seen and met a lot of Avas, Ellas, Graces, Carsons, and Jacksons.  Nobody's named Jessica, Mary, Becky, Alex, Joe, Tim, or Peter anymore ( Read more... )
