The 2010 Top 100 Baby Names List has been released. The comments on that page are absolutely horrible---apparently, a lot of people like to bitch about trendy names. Why? I know names have power and everything, but seriously, what with all the angry people and the trolls? I mean, dear Lord, these people are pretentious and obnoxious!
Also, since I'm a weird name-list junkie, I've noticed that girls' names usually fall victims to trends much more often than boys' names, but now it looks like the boys are catching up in that department.
If/when I have children, I'd like to have a son named Nicholas. Not for any popularity reasons, but because I think it's a beautiful name. Okay, okay, if I had to go the fandom-y route, he'd be Christopher David. ...Or I could always go with Eccleston Tennant, like those toddler brothers I met named Jagger and Cash. ;)
