Awesome weekend thus far...

So as I already said, Friday was a very good day because the day started off with me getting my new title. Nothing has changed, but I'm ok with that. As long as I get to call myself the Post Production Coordinator, I'm happy.

I had my second date with Scott Friday night, and I was excited for a while, because we'd been emailing for a month after our first date and now we were finally going out again. He called me on Wednesday to ask me out for Friday, and then he called Friday to say that he was running late due to traffic, and I suddenly had a mild panic attack. I didn't know exactly why, but I started freaking out. I think I could feel myself wanting to fall back into my old pattern and just push him away and not let it go any further. Luckily Michael was online and helped me a bit. He gave me some advice which really did help...lol.

I went on the date and it was fine. We went to Tower Records for a while, then bought tickets to see "Glory Road," then went to Quiznos and chatted for a bit. Then went to a couple stores to browse, then back to Tower Records, then to the movie, then went home. It's hard to say how it went though, or how I feel about it. The date was fun. I had fun. I felt fairly comfortable with Scott. He's my type physically. He's really into movies, and he's silly and intelligent and considerate and I do enjoy being with him. But at the same time, I occasionally felt like he was slightly too dorky, or too awkward. Not overly so, just enough that every now and then I'd have doubts about him.

But it was nice because he was opening doors for me, paid for my movie ticket, kept touching my arm and shoulder, and had his arm around me during most of the movie. And I was ok with it. Last time someone tried to put their arm around me, he was way too physical and I was too tense to enjoy it. With Scott, it was simple. He wasn't putting the moves on me, his arm was just around my shoulder. Nothing more. And it was nice. It was really nice.

I thought he might try to kiss me when he walked me to my car, and I thought he actully was going to, but then he didn't. It might have been because I hugged him real quick, and he thought I didn't want him to. Or he might be shy still. Or he just might not have wanted to yet. Whatever it was, I was ok with it. I just wish I could say definitively one way or the other if I liked him or not. I'm still on the fence about him. I think I need a third date before an answer will be clear to me. But either way, it was a fun night. And "Glory Road" was a really good movie.

Saturday day started off on an AMAZING note, when I went to Curves for a workout, and one of the ladies who works there said that my local Curves was thinking about recording an infomercial type thing for public access TV, and would I be interested in giving a testimonial, due to my success at the gym? I was floored and beyond flattered. I mean, I know I'm doing well, but I never thought I was doing so well that they'd want to use me as an example to other people. I was so honored, I said I'd do it. Granted, this is very iffy, and it may not happen. But even if it doesn't, it's still mind-boggling to me that they even thought of me. I was really touched. I'll keep you posted if it actually happens.

After that, me and the guys finally exchanged Christmas present. Long story short, the present I was getting for Vic fell through and I had to get something else at the last minute. Luckily when Scott and I were at Tower Records, I found the BBC version of "Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy" and got that for him. The boys all seemed to like their presents. Vic liked the DVD, John liked the monster mask and makeup books I got for him, and Erik liked the food I got for him so much that he started eating it right away. Vic gave me a goofy book called "Jewish As A Second Language" and John gave me a gift card to a movie store. Erik didn't buy presents for us. So now Christmas is officially over...lol.

Vic and I went to a baby shower for a friend of ours, and it was really fun. Granted, I thought one of the girls who was organizing the shower was going to start yelling, because not everyone was playing the games. There was one game where they melted candy bars in 5 different diapers, and we had to guess the 'poop.' It was beyond gross. Granted, it was melted candy bars and not real poop, but still. Pretty gross. I still had fun though, hanging out with my friends is always a good time.

After the shower I headed down to Manhattan Beach to visit my cousins Jacob and Aaron and watch the Patriots vs. Broncos game. Aaron was visiting from Boston with his wife and two kids, Nathan and Max. Nathan is 5 and Max is 3 and they're both adorable!! I had fun playing with them for a bit, tickling them and being silly. There was one point where Max handed me a dinosaur book, then climbed into my lap so I would read it to him. He was so cute!! Jacob took a couple pics, so hopefully I'll post them later. I really wish the boys were closer so I could see them more often. They're so damn cute!

Tomorrow all I have planned is my poker game at night. Other than that, I plan to do laundry, do a mini-workout and watch TV. It will be good!

family, get down and break a sweat!, boys! teehee!
