Ben got into LA yesterday!
It was so surreal having him in LA. I mean, he'd been here before and everything. But it feels different, now that I'm living out here and he's visiting me. Before, it was the four of us visiting other relatives. But now I'm someone to be visited in LA. It's quite strange. I got him at LAX, we drove (slowly) to the house and I gave him a tour and got him settled into the guest room.
I had to go back to work, so I tried to do work for another few hours, without much success. While I was at work, Vic came home and Ben introduced himself. Ben's retelling of the encounter went something like this, "Vic came home. I said hi, he did the robot and burst into flames. I mean, he's a cool guy." Needless to say, I proceeded to laugh hysterically at work for a good 15-20 seconds. I love my brother.
I got home from work, we went to BJ's for dinner. During dinner we talked about many things, mainly our current dating situations, we made up a new word (RAKETECACKS!!!) and Ben got mad at his pizza. When I asked why he was mad, he said it was because it messed up his standards. We shared a pizookie and that was good as well.
We came home, Ben fiddled on my computer a bit, then we watched my horrible involvement in "Palette Of Madness" and J's fabulous "Steve Saves LA." We ripped the former to shreds, because it deserved it, and Ben loved the latter. It was a very good day.
Today, I went to work and Ben moved over to the hotel in Downtown LA. I didn't talk to him today, but I plan to call him tomorrow and make sure he's settled all right. At work, Heather and I did next to nothing. It's a very quiet week with 2 stories out shooting, and no tapes to log. Plus the big dog is going to NYC for a couple days, so it'll be really quiet the rest of the week.
Tomorrow night is the One Acts thingy in which J and Rory have scenes being performed. I'm very excited to see, and I'm really interested to see how it works. It may be something I may want to try my hand at sometime.
