Whew, that's done with

Dec 25, 2004 04:12

I woke up around 9:30 this morning, almost turned over and went back to sleep, but it's a really good thing I didn't. I called the mechanic a little before 10:00 to see how late they were open today, and they were only open until 1:00. I was told that changing my alternator would take 3 hours, so I was panicked for a moment that they wouldn't be able to see me because it wouldn't be finished in time. I said I could get there in a half hour and they said they could fit me in.

I had planned on taking a shower, but that plan was scratched because I had to haul ass over to Woodland Hills to get there so they could fix Wheelio. I did get there within a half hour and it actually only took 2 hours, not 3. So 2 hours and $200 later, Wheelio has a brand new alternator. And they also checked my battery for me, and it's fine. So hopefully we'll be staying clear of the mechanic for a while. *knock on wood* Now on Monday I have to call Woodland Honda about my warranty, because the alternator is covered, but they were closed today and wouldn't be open until Monday. And I needed it fixed today. So we'll see what happens with them.

After Wheelie's adventure I came back and just hung about. My RotK: EE DVD finally came today, so I was pissing my pants in anticipation. I loved the extended cut for the most part. There were a few places where I definitely understood why it was cut, but it was neat to see on my DVD. And I also watched all of the extras tonight, hence why I'm up at 4am. It was good though. I love my DVD.

Ryan left to go home at some point today, though I'm not sure when. Most likely either really early this morning, or while I was at the mechanic. But now the house is all mine for the next 3-5 days. (I'm not sure when Vic and John are coming back) I don't really care to be here alone. Every little creak that I hear makes me think there's someone prowling around, and I feel really vulnerable without my housemates here to protect me...heh. I want to say that Vic said at some point he was coming back on the 28th. I can't remember if that's accurate, but I hope it is. I miss my boys. =/

Tomorrow should be fun though. Adrienne, the cousins, Kat and I are gonna see "The Aviator" at the Arclight tomorrow and go back to Adrienne's for dinner. I'm glad Adrienne had this idea, because even though I've never celebrated Christmas on Christmas in a big way, tomorrow would be really lonely if I was by myself all day. So I'm glad we're doing something together. I love my family. =] I guess I should stop saying "tomorrow" because it's actually Christmas now!

Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you guys have a lovely day and get lots of goodies.

christmas, family, car stuff, geek!
