House sitting is fun!
So yesterday the bunny family went into the city to wish Danielabunny a safe trip back to Germany and a quick return to the US. It was short, sweet and then we came home. After dinner I headed over to my house sitting gig, and made myself at home. The cats are so incredibly friendly and sweet. Kitty Butt aka Butthead is light orange and cream colored, fluffy and purrs super loud. Peter is black, also fluffy and likes to sleep with me at night. I was playing with them in the basement last night and they were actually playing! Then they'd come sit by me and I'd pet them and they'd purr, and they'd play some more! They're so sweet and it's a little jarring for me. I'm used to cats like Harry and Abbie. Cats that are very pretty, but will just as soon bite your face as piss on your furniture. I decided that I want cats when I get my own place. And I do want two of them, because KB and Peter play with each other and sometimes nuzzle and it's so cute. I'm ranting about cats for a bit too long. I guess I can finally understand kat_the_frog's obsession. ;]
Anyway, the house is really nice. The central air keeps everything nice and cool, they've got enough VHSes and DVDs to keep me entertained, I actually managed to find the tiny village with the stores, so I can walk into "town" if I need to, and their pool is fucking awesome. It's been such a long time since I really went swimming. Not the half-assed swimming I did in LA, because I was too self conscious in my bathing suit. But actual swimming. Underwater, across the pool, bottom of the pool, doing actual strokes and stuff, not just treading water. It was so nice, and I felt really relaxed because I knew no one was watching my fat ass bobbing in and out of the water. It really does make me want to start swimming more often. Like, find a Y somewhere with a pool I can use and just go there to swim. It's really relaxing and fun. I plan to swim everyday I'm house sitting. Teehee!
My birthday is in 2 days and it's gonna be tricky. I think what's gonna happen is that I'm gonna sleep over with the kitties the night before, feed and water them when I wake up, then walk home. Catch a train with Ben, meet Mom and Dad for an early dinner somewhere, then head to Bowey Ballroom to mees Jess. Concert it up, then take the train home and have Ben drop me off back with the kitties. It'll be tiring, but fun I think. =Þ
