We're gonna see a movie! We're gonna see a movie!

I woke up at a normal time this morning, which I hadn't done in at least a week. It wasn't so bad. Dad and I had to go to the bank so I could cash in these bonds my grandparents had bought when I was younger. We deposited them right into my account, which was nice. Now I can afford to buy myself an mp3 player. After that we got a quick brunch and went to see "The Village." I really loved it. I can see how some horror fans in horror_movies didn't, because it isn't a straight-up, blood-soaked, gore-fest. It's a quiet thinking thriller, which M. Night does really well. I enjoyed it a lot and I want to see it again!

EDIT: On a sidenote, some people kept complaining that their movie experience wasn't great because there were adolescent old girls talking and shrieking loudly. I find that amusing in some way, because our viewing was the same way. There were seven 13 year old girls who sat right in front of us during the movie. That's right. Seven. Two kept playing with their cellphones, another two kept dropping change, one girl at the end of the row was trying to get the attention of the girl at the other end of the row, and they were all talking during the movie. It seems like a freaky coincidence that people can't go see "The Village" without the tween girls coming out of the woodwork to drive everyone crazy. I hate tween girls. They're the anti-christ. Moving on.

Later Mom had somehow gotten "13 Going On 30" from a video store, even though it's not supposed to be out until Tuesday. I'm still not sure how she did that. I was really excited, because I thought maybe they'd like it. Wroooooong! They all hated it. Ben didn't even stay for the whole thing. That made me kinda disappointed, because I really love it for some reason. It's just a sweet lil romantic comedy. But I guess it's goofy if you're not in the mindset for it. I can understand the guys not liking it, because it is a bit of a chick flick. But I at least thought Mom would think it was cute. Oh well. =/

Tomorrow we're all going into the city for this get together thing for Daniela, because she's going back to Germany tomorrow. I'm kinda blech about it because it's been hot and gross and I don't want to go into the city, where it'll be worse. But it'll be nice to see her again before she leaves. And my house-sitting job starts tomorrow. Should be an adventure. I think I'll be using the pool a lot this week, if it stays this hot and gross. And it'll be nice to get out of the house and chill on my own. I need to find some books to bring with me. And my bathing suit. Hmm.

3 days until my birthday! =]
